Which is it? A lot of you who support the war ask questions such as "why don't liberals support the war on terrorism?" Others as "why don't liberals support the war on Iraqi freedom?"
I mean, which is it? Do you truly know WHAT we are fighting for? Think about it...fighting in Iraq against terrorism gets in the way of establishing a free Iraq. So, do you want to stop terrorism or create their freedom?

Good point Bigsey, but don't you think that fighting a war on terror should also involve other countries that harbor terrorists...like Saudi Arabia. We are focusing only on one country.

Terror is a state of a Human emotion, is that what you think you are warring upon, Fear?
It is George's best Cliche, most used - least interpretable as it is So broad in definition everyone/anyone can be placed under it's definition.
It is a Total 'foolery' simply to keep you all going, 'on track' 'on the course' 'fighting the good fight' against the terrorists, wherever they are, almost a declaration of War upon the entire planet, or anywheres, any Country George sees "terrorists" AKA Small cells of people, really small cells of people 19 for the 9/11/01 event and George is using the HUGE American "War Machine" (armed forces) to fight that....YIKES!!.
"Iraqi Freedom" is just as False as the reason why you went there was a pre-emptive strike (AKA Invasion) because of supposed WMD's ......remember?

The war on terrorism should be considered in a broader context. It is a worldwide war on Islamic Fascism. Muslims are in the forefront of this war, and came to the world attention as Islamic countries became more and more powerful. At this point Islam must decide whether or not is a peaceful religion, or if it seeks to dominate the world by violence.
The War for Iraqi Freedom is a part of the War on Islamic Fascism. The Islamic Fascists want to control Iraq, the Sunnis want control of Iraq, the Shia what control of Iraq and the Kurd want to separate and form their own country in Iraq. Whoever wins will have control the the second largest oil reserves in the world. The stakes are very large. If the Islamic Fascists win then the rest of the middle east will be in political turmoil. So Iraqi has become a major player in the War on Terror.
The liberals are out in Fantasyland and can't see beyond their hatred for Bush/Chaney. If the Liberals win the Presidency next year, then will be forced to either hand Iraq over to the Fascists or follow-up on the Bush plan.

One goes with the other. That is just the current playground we chose. Maybe we aren't as narrow minded as you think. We are fighting to kill and destroy as many terrorists as we can. At the same time we are fighting to give Iraqi people a chance to live life in a democracy. At the same time we are hoping to scare the crap out of other despots in the middle east by showing their people that democracy is worth fighting for. At the same time we are trying to stabilize a region that supplies the world with a majority of its oil and hummus. We are fighting to show that training terrorists to attack the US anywhere in the world will not go unpunished. And up until the Democrats take over and put a deadline, we will succeed. When the deadline is announced, attacks will increase, more US troops will be killed in deadlier more atrocious ways than ever before. The troops will be withdrawn and the terrorists will have proven to the world that a majority of Americans are cowards.

Niether...Freedom given has no value. Freedom fought and earned is sacred. If the Iraqi wanted Saddam out so bad they should have done it themselves. As for the War on Terror I'm still waiting for proof of Saddam's involvement of acts of Terror against the US.

Because it is not either, it is a war on the American people and the world to enrich himself and the large oil company's. It has nothing to do with freedom or a war on terror. If we could follow the money trail, who is profiting from this criminal war, we would find the real reasons this war is being fought with American lives and presidential lies.

They say Saddam killed 5000 Kurds in one day. But they do they say how Bush kills 100 Iraqis a day. 3000 a month? It is surely for oil. And to recieve all the nuclear and chemical weapons themselves. Think why, think why North Korea is all of a sudden Usa's so-called "ally" and Pakistan and India, all of these countries have either joined the "one and only superpower USA" or have listened to its demands, or have been punished by it.

Operation Iraqi freedom is a small part of the bigger war on terror. A free Iraq gets us closer to a world where terrorists aren't imminent threats.
