I have been disappointed to see people that I thought had common sense who have been so sucked in by conspiracy theories. And many of these are not the people that would believe in UFO's and Kennedy's assassination for all sorts of weird reasons.

To make it clear what I mean about "REALLY" is that we all know Kerry said this is the worst economy since the Great Depression. Many picked up on that and agreed but they really didn't believe it because we all know that our neighbors were not starving and standing in soup lines like they did during the Great Depression. It was just a "political statement" against the other side.

I mean in your heart, no matter how bad Bush is, was, or will be, do you think he intentionally lied about going into Iraq. If so, why?

My dad used to say that it was against the law to drive barefooted. When asked why, he said it was to protect our feet. Then again, my dad has always loved pulling people's legs... It's getting hot in south Texas again, and I'm finding myself kicking off my shoes while I'm driving.
So, mostly out of pure curiosity,
1. Is it REALLY against the law, in Texas, to drive barefooted?
2. If so, do you know the reasoning behind this law?
Personally, I think I get better traction with my middle-aged wrinkled foot skin, than I do with slippery shoe soles...
3. How is a law like that enforced... if it is a law?
Thanks.

My coworker who had just began working in a hospital and also works in a Drs. office. When we were introduced at the hospital, she told some people that I was a frequent flyer at the Drs. office. Please let me know if that is a hipaa violation. She had no right even saying that I was a patient at the Drs. office.

Well I was beaten to a pulp the other night by my now ex boyfriend. I got a broken rib, fractured skull, and a broken toe along with a zillion bumps and bruises. He lied to the cops and told him that he lived there, and since some of this stuff was there they didn't believe me. I even have a roomate who said that he doesn't live there. I was arrested which was a shock to me because I was the one yelling for someone to help me and I called the cops, also the worse thing I have ever done was be tardy for class back in high school and I got detention for it. I am now afraid to call the cops, I would rather bleed to death than call them. I now have a lawyer and he is working on my case. Is there anyone out there who has gone through the samething or has any advice for me?

Be careful what you wish for with socialized medicine. Nothing like the government saying you can't get an operation your doctor says you need. If you think this is unthinkable, what would stop the only health insurance provider in the country from denying you coverage as they see fit?

Bush, who's guilty of numerous impeachable offenses, and is basically running a criminal operation in the white house, has about a 30% approval rate. Yet, congress still cowers to him. What's the story?

(Don't ask me to list Bush's crimes - I can't fit them here. email me and I'll send you them.)

Are we all ready to lay off hundreds of thousands for the sake of system that ignores tort law issues facing the health insurance industry today?

Are we just laying blame in the wrong place when people choose not to buy the coverage or have spouse coverage?

Is it right to force people into buying the system?

For those that favor a socialized healthcare system in this country, where will the money come from? Surely, some businesses favor this because they won't have to pay the vast portion of health insurance premiums many employers do today. (Meaning those big, mean corporations will actually make MORE money)

So, where does the money come from?

If you are old enough to recall how Clinton pushed his military gay agenda behind other created news you may be thinking déjà vu. Here we have it happening again. While this smokescreen of Iraq is happening they are trying to dilute the military in the background, once again.

Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Preparedness, said the ban is proper for the military because in that life, unlike in civilian life, "soldiers live in forced intimacy with little or no privacy." But if the military allowed open homosexuality, "not only allowing it but promoting the lifestyle, it would alienate young men and women who volunteer to service," she said.

Marty Meehan (D-MA) failed in his attempt to help President Bill Clinton lift the military’s ban on homosexuals in the military. Now Meehan is back with similar legislation to repeal the 1993 homosexual conduct law, a statute that has been upheld as constitutional several times.
