They should be castrated, publicly sodomized and permanently incarcerated. If the justice system insists upon making an example of us,the general population, then those who supposed to enforce it should be held to an excruciatingly higher standard.

The term "trigger happy" is so over-used that it no longer even is a moderately appropriate term. I know of very few incidents where the whole circumstance wouldn't have lead someone without the law officer's training from shooting every time.
I understand it's fun to sit back and monday morning quarterback the officers later, but when you are out in a parking lot and someone who turns out to be a combat veteran tries to kill your partner with a knife, it's a whole different story.
Unless you've been there, it's hard to say what you would do. I for one know that it is horrible, but no cops died that night. I did not enjoy the public attention, nor explainng to my kids why this happened, almost no cops really want to shoot someone.

Probably the same thing they do to cops and prosecutors that lie ,and judges that are bias to the government ,I don't know maybe you should ask the 200 innocent people on death row we were going to murder ,until DNA testing proved they were not guilty .The same thing they are doing to judges and prosecutors and police for all the innocent people they executed before DNA testing ,in the name of justice and the law .Judges according to the constitution were to keep govt. inside a fence to protect the people from tyranny .The thoughts of our founding fathers on law was (its better that 10 guilty people escape than 1 innocent person suffer ).That doesn't happen today in our courts for govt. profit at the expense of our citizens .People don't know that by the constitution juries are not only to judge the facts of a case but also whether they think it is a good law the person is charge on .If you think its bad or it violates a persons liberty ( which is to be free to do as your will ,as long as it doesn't violate the liberty of another ).You are to find the person innocent ,even if you think hes guilty .Judges don't tell the jury of this right .People don't know that juries were to protect citizens from bad govt. and tyranny ,not convict citizens to be victimized by govt. They are a safe guard against the govt. for the people to protect each other

You've answered your own question. If they've been found guilty by a court of law, then they'll be sentenced by that court.
However, it's rare for cops to kill "innocent people who were neither armed or (sic) dangerous." Most people cops come into contact with are far from innocent and are usually armed and dangerous.
You should be thankful they're out there, putting their lives on the line to protect strangers.

They should receive a fair trial just like any other accused citizen. We should also be able to hear all the facts, without the sensationalism attached by the media, and presume that all are still innocent until found guilty by a jury. In the case of guilt, they should receive the verdict rendered for the crime in the state where the offense took place.

Police are not the law , they are servants of the law .
In saying that they are also the individuals who stand up every day to keep us safe from the anarchy and mayhem that many in society would like to unlease.
Police are human and entitled to make mistakes like you and me.
When they do they are entitled to due process of the law like you and me, free from the interference of media and self interest groups that supposedly represent minorities. (but usually run them).
Police have to handle a lot of incedents a day against people who are high, drunk or just crazy and acting in unusual manners. They then are required to make split second decisions about how they will react.
In a country that not only perpetuate rights to own guns but advocates it the police have to treat everyone as though they are armed. So they act accordingly and sometimes get it wrong.
See your constitution is all about rights but mentions little about reponsibility.
I dont condone Police high handedness or abuse of power, Nor am I a police officer.
My guess is that you are just looking for patsies to support you little social rant so I will leave it there.

positive, police officials make mistakes. yet human beings purely communicate about those mistakes, no longer the cut up 2d that officials might want to guage the project and make a range that would want to finally outcome the guy in touch contained in the act, the officials which have responded, and the final public. In all 3 eventualities, you clarify the project from an quite biased opinion related to some variety of police brutality, yet those are probable no longer each of the data to each tale. In project a million, a knife being waved round in a public position escalated using stress. If someone had a knife in the front of me, i does no longer say, oh, allow's capture up with and keep him! No, they probable stated something to the outcome of "police! drop the knife or i will shoot!" and in that project, he might want to have damage himself or distinctive those with that pen-knife. human beings have finished plenty worse with plenty a lot less. In project 2, for a guy to be so enraged to hurl chairs and tables in a public position, means that those tables and chairs were all that he might want to snatch. If there replaced right into a gun laying on a table, he probable might want to have used that somewhat. The officials of course talked about this as plausible to public protection and/or the spouse. In project 3, a guy going nuts and bashing his vehicle hostile to different autos does position human beings in forthcoming possibility, because the vehicle replaced into used as a attitude to deadly stress. He used his vehicle as a weapon. In those and fairly some different eventualities the position police officials might want to react rapidly, they ward off that situation from causing damage to themselves or others, and for my section, those moves were justified.

Counseling. I know cops feel bad after shooting innocent people. People make mistakes especially if those innocent people happen to be with a dangerous crowd. They don't know who is really innocent until after the fact.
