In the 2004 Presidential Race, what % of young people (18-25) voted? How about versus older people?

Here's the breakdown according to cnn.com/election/2004:

ages 18-29 (17%) Bush 45% Kerry 54%
ages 30-44 (29%) Bush 53% Kerry 46% Nader 1%
ages 45-59 (30%) Bush 51% Kerry 48%
ages 60+ (24%) Bush 54% Kerry 46%

You can't really break it down into such a large age group. Most people under 21 don't vote. That's why the drinking age is 21. Insurance companies want it to be 25, but 21 year olds vote, and legislators know that.

Well since I never voted I will have to say 50 percent. Because not all of us young people are interested in politics as much as older people.

we have never had a president win with more than 25% of the vote of qualified persons. Thank God only about 10% of under 25 y/o persons vote-- trust me; you dont want them to.. in 25 to 50y/o about 40% vote regularly- less for local issues. and over 50 almost everyone who can get to a pole votes.

Not many. Most people who vote are 35+.
