ok, here's the deal.

My step-cousin is 15 years old and has just had a baby. The father is 18 years old. They've being togethor a while and are still togethor. The sex leading to the pregnancy was consented by both of them, but the fact is that one was under the age of consent and the other wasn't.

I'm just wondering the law regarding this and why social services or other authorities haven't recommended prosecution. I'm studying Law as I hope to pursue a career in Law but we've not studied this, and when my mum asked me why they haven't taken legal action I said it's more than likely because the sex was consented to by both of the people and so it isn't in the "public interest" for the CPS to prosecute.

This is in the UK btw, I'm just wondering whether I was correct in saying the father isn't being prosecuted because it isn't in the public interest or due to another reason.

Cheers.

Tom Tancreado was smoking a cigar in his own office that has a a filtration system. It is not illegal to smoke in your own office however Ellison called the police on Tancreado.

Just because he was smoking doesnt mean he was doing something illegal....to the dismay of some.....

This is really scary

Links to these Jihadist videos are really scary - why has YouTube allowed itself to be taken over by racist, bigoted, blood-thirsty mass murderers?

Right wingers keep calling Clinton a socialist.

Socialism can be defined in 1 sentence, and is not vaguely related to anything she has said.

Taxation is not socialism.

Taxation on windfall profits is not socialism, so don't waste everyone's time with her statement about oil profits.

I would like to know from the people how you feel about the Muslims in YOUR country? Love them or hate them? How have their lack of assimilation affected your way of life? If you are a Muslim, How do you feel about being a Brit? Is life what you expeced it to be when you chose to leave Muslim nation for a western home? I am really curious. Love to y'all!

My ex-wife has reported me as violating the restraining order she had against me on my custody days. She has informed our son's schools that I am not allowed to be involved with his schooling. She has denied me custody. She has lied to mediators about when she is available to care for our son. I want to attain her past work schedule to prove she was at work when she told the mediators she was available to care for our son. My business was destroyed as a result of responding to her incessant complaints and responding to the criminal court when the city attorney sought to prosecute me for allegedly violating restraining orders. Somehow my ex got the city attorney to pursue an alleged violation of a restraining order she said her husband had against me but there is no such order. Sloppy courts and justice system have tangled me up in legal bs and helped my delinquent ex harass me. How do I make the company she works for turn over her work history? Can I sue for emotional distress?

People flee their country everyday for a chance at living in the United States. But what is their inspiration to do so? What is it they think they will find when they reach the US shores? Where do they get the idea that America is the promised land? Surely they must know that hatred is waiting for them....?

My boyfriend and I want to rent an apartment together, but the company we want to rent from says because we are students and in a college borough, we can't unless we're married. Is this for real or what? We're BOTH over 21 and have jobs. We are not full time students. Is this illegal?

With the war going on, I was wondering how the nations unemployment rate is changing. On some sites I see it's 10% unemployment, other sites it's 50-70% unemployment being said. I don't know wo to believe. I can't use Wikipedia, or Fox, or CNN, b/c they lie, so I need someone elses input. Please attach links to backup your piece on how unemployment is being affected, this is for one of my lectures and I need to cite sources. Thanks!!

Similar to the way Europe is going, but a little more extreme.

Kind of like how the UK is, having 4 countries united as one, all 4 having their own little government to keep things in order, but with the parliament keeping control and governing overall.

What do you guys think?
