Similar to the way Europe is going, but a little more extreme.

Kind of like how the UK is, having 4 countries united as one, all 4 having their own little government to keep things in order, but with the parliament keeping control and governing overall.

What do you guys think?

I think it is inevitable. Hundreds of thousands of years ago we started out in small family groups, then villages and tribes developed, then small kingdoms, then large kingdoms, then countries and finally continental government. It is a natural progression that as the world becomes smaller through advances in communication and global opinion, the people of the world will become closer and more integrated. Not wanting to adopt a sci-fi outlook to this answer, but if space exploration developed and we encountered other races in space, Earth would quite rapidly create one global government so as to interact more effectively with our new friends.

No... that would require such a totalitarian rule that I would not want to be under it... It is better, given human nature, to have different countries. there are far too many individual personalities and idiosyncrasies with in the human race that it would not be possible for "one" government to control them all unless extreme measures could be used... I do not think that is compatible with the overwhelming majority of human personalities...... of course that is what The UK is close to now... and China and some others are close.... and then there is the abomination of the EU.... and what Geaorge Bush is trying to do with North America.... You are going down the path of the New World Order, the way of 9 international bankers who are the secret rulers of America, in 1930 they completed what their grandfathers set out to do. Their motto is *You control the money and the law doesn't count.*
their aim is to bring the New World Order to the whole world and it looks like they have a disciple in you.

We brought that up about a dozen years ago, and it was called the "New World Order". Turns out, not a good idea. who would be king of the world under this "one roof"?

Biblically, everyone coming together under one roof and getting fooled by the leader is one of the events leading to the Apocalypse.

I know what you mean but no way could it happen. Perhaps a cataclysmic event like discovering life in the universe might make people pull together and stop a lot of the petty bickering between nations, and let people see that we are only a bit player in the rich tapestry of life.
Good question.

Well if you look at the UK as an example everyone is bitter for the English taking over so that is not good. Who would set up the rules and standards? That would cause a lot of problems. Nobody gets along well enough to do it but in an ideal world it would rock!

No thank you, but thanks for thinking of me. I don't want a Parliament and I don't want a socialized government. I know the world would also have a problem with the US's 2ND Amendment, but that would definitely have to stay in place too.

No their are too many diverse cultures give up your sovereignty and you give up what freedom you have and you lay your self open to exploitation by any psychopathic control freak who seizes power too many people have died to prevent this. don't believe me? read the history of Europe over the last three hundred years or so. any gambler reads the form-book before he places a bet and that would be a hell of a gamble!
