appointed lawyer that was issued to you while in jail be your lawyer when you have to show up for your next court date? My niece is in jail and went to court once, with an appointed lawyer...now my sister is talking about bonding her out and called the court appointed lawyer to ask him a question, but he said if she bonds her out, that he will no longer be her lawyer. Does that mean one has to be hired? Or when her next court date comes up, another one will be issued to her. I don't understand this and if someone could please explain this I would appreciate it.

U.S./Iraqi forces are now trying to blocked the Syria and Iran borders. But a lot of insurgents are already inside Iraq and somehow are able to take a disguise as an Iraqi coalition-force. How are they able to get that uniform? Is there a military surplus store in Baghdad? What can our technology do to detect impostors?

Do you think that the same-sex marriage issue issimilar to the Loving v. Virginia issue?

The Loving case had to do with interracial marriage which was banned by somestates in the union.

Can the homosexual population actually argue the similar points of the Loving case slightly adjusted for their cause?

If so, do we by law have the right to stop them [Homosexuals] from marrying given the Loving case?

It seems as though people in the US are always worried about what everyone else is doing and they are always in other people's business.

People don't hesitate to call the police on others for the smallest thing and some people just can't wait to make another person look bad?

What is going on in this country?

During the 60 minute speech, I counted over 100 "I" this or that or "I don't" or "I decided", or "I want", or some other form of reference to the first person -- "my, mine, me" referring to himself. He even issued an ultimatum to Congress! Is this a nation of laws and checks and balances or a Dictatorship headed by a power hungry/money-grubbing President? Shouldn't we impeach him before he does any more damage and maybe gets us into another war that ends ups having no effect except to cost us money and the lives of some of our best and brightest?

If people stopped throwing away bacon grease we could end global warming, poverty, save the whales and impeach Bush all at the same time.

I used to speak out against murder because I thought it was wrong, but then some people enlightened me. They told me I should stop being such a narrow-minded, repressive bigot and open my mind. They told me I should be more liberal and tolerant and stop being such a prude. And I thought, "wow I sure learned my lesson"! Morals are so irrelevant today...let's wake up and join people in the 21st century- the birth of tolerance and enlightenment!

Ex: You get pulled over, get arrested, out on bail and are going to plead not guilty...You are going to fight this case...
Why this officer stopped you in the first is a huge question...He could give any reason or excuse, but with that does he have to say what, when, why and how this is probable cause? Or they can make something up and get away with it? Just because the officer knows you does that give him probable cause?

American voters showed their distaste for flip floppers in the 2004 election when they sent Kerry packing, for simply saying he voted for a resolution then voted against it when some pork was added to it.

So my question is how can a man (Romney) who said "I believe abortions should be kept safe and legal." and "I believe homos should be allowed to work in the Boy Scouts of America." think he can get away with saying that he has "changed his mind" on these black and white issues? And will American voters be stupid enough to believe him?

i mean ... this forum is filled with "question" after "question" of rediculous deliberately misrepresenting tirades against Liberals, Dems, Carter, Clinton and anyone else who isn't going along with whatever lies and incompetent crap is coming out of the Oval Office. it's a never ending stream of sewer effluence, none of which has any basis in reality. are these people willfully ignorant and actually believe the feces they post or are they just pissed off that they've been thoroughly duped and are deflecting blame where ever they can?

I often read in YA that Cons and Reps think Universal Healthcare is Socialism/Communism, therefore you don't agree with it. My question is, What do you think is a viable and realistic solution? I am talking about healthcare for the "Working Poor", those families that work 2 jobs, make too much for medicaid, yet not enough to purchase private insurance. I have heard people say, get a better job, but in the "real world" there are always going to have to be people to do the lower paying jobs or the economy would fall apart. (Fast food clerks, grocery/department stores, gas stations etc). Please offer a realistic solution that is not basically "too bad, there will always be the "have" and "have-nots" (Yes I actually read an answer similar to that)

how much is a 'fix-it' ticket for not having your front license plate mounted?
how many times can you get away w/ it before you're hauled off to jail?
