Do you think that the same-sex marriage issue issimilar to the Loving v. Virginia issue?

The Loving case had to do with interracial marriage which was banned by somestates in the union.

Can the homosexual population actually argue the similar points of the Loving case slightly adjusted for their cause?

If so, do we by law have the right to stop them [Homosexuals] from marrying given the Loving case?

If two people want to get married, then I say let them, it doesn't bother me.

I am just mad looking at the world and seeing all the hate. No one has the right to tell you who you can and can not marry it is up to you to pick the one that is for you. Even if it is the same sex. I don't care what people do. Just make sure your happy in the end. It is not a sin to marry the same sex. God put people on this earth to live and be to gather. Not to fight over there beliefs. I wounder what the world would be like if there was no story's about a bible or a man that was born. Really you don't know the real truth until your dead. So stuff you can't prove should be keep to your self and not used to make other stuffer.

Well, plain and simple.

The religious right is using the fact that marriage is strictly between a man and a woman for the means of procreation.

The Gay and Lesbian community is only using what they said against them.

I think it is a smart move on their part. Maybe now people will get the point.

Gay marriage doesn't effect MY marriage...nor does it effect anyone else's. Those that are worried about gays getting married need to worry about their own so that we do not continue with a 60% divorce rate.

I do find it comical that the same people that are crying about it only being for a man and a woman are the same group that have such a high divorce rate. How important IS the institute of marriage in the US?

How dare ANYONE deny anyone else the right to love. Don't you remember when you were a kid running for class president (unless you were one of these leaders) where you didn't get voted for much, if at all? do you think just because you're in the minority, you're wrong?! Also a note to all the people who agree with this post "The fact that we are even asking these questions is scary. 50 years ago this wouldn't have been an issue. This is what happens when you take God out of everything-we are on a downhill spiral going nowhere fast." Just because you are christian doesn't mean everyone is. again, majority shouldn't always rule. Are we going to ban this for the christian people at, say, the expense of atheists who don't think anything is wrong with it? No. we have always been a country of freedom! Freedom of press, freedom of speech. Why should we stop this now? i can see how, when the bible was written and not as many people populated the earth, this might be important, to produce offspring. but America now has an extremely positive birthrate. also, what are we going to do if two homosexual immigrants are coming in from another country? just turn them out?! we already have enough illegal immigration as it is! In conclusion i'd like to quote our very own US constitution "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Are we going to go against our very CONSTITUTION?! deny our own CITIZENS this pursuit of happiness?! i think not!

Of course and while were at it why not between more than two people after all the more the merrier. Bestality should also be made legal and we should be able to marry animals aswell, i mean love is love right? Some may think it is digusting but maybe we are obrn that way and it definatly would not be a lifestyle choice, oh no never ever.

Well I think the decision kinda made precedent that discrimination in relation to marriage is illegal...despite whatever your feelings are on the issue


But as people are deeply and truly stupid, fat, lazy, evil and greedy we like to ignore our own rules in order to attack another group.

By Law I say we do not have the right to say no...chruches don't have to do it but the state does.

What I find crazy is people WANTING government involved in marriage in the 1st place. Whatever your feelings why would you EVER let the Big Brother tell you who you could and could not marry? One restriction is just a big signal flare asking for more!

First no gay marriage..then we're back to no interracial marriage..then no interpolitical party marriage, then of course by this time the government will force you to marry someone who matched with your DNA will breed kids that govt wants.

People are dolts who deserve extinction for even arguing about this

The two AREN'T connected. Could a lawyer tie them together? Yeah, but a lawyer can tie almost any cases together like that.

Who Cares???? why should anyone care about what others do with their lives, especially when it comes to love? Who are we to tell someone they can't marry another person.. It's not going to affect my life in any way nor will it affect the life of others. We are told to love your partner for who they are inside. Not what they look like or talk like or anything. But for them to treat you respectively.

It is different from the Loving case in that different races procreating are biologically "normal" . Gays are technically a biological anomaly.
