I believe murder is wrong, but some people don't-should I be more open-minded and tolerant of their lifestyle?

I used to speak out against murder because I thought it was wrong, but then some people enlightened me. They told me I should stop being such a narrow-minded, repressive bigot and open my mind. They told me I should be more liberal and tolerant and stop being such a prude. And I thought, "wow I sure learned my lesson"! Morals are so irrelevant today...let's wake up and join people in the 21st century- the birth of tolerance and enlightenment!

If you even have to ask where I'm getting at;-D gee, I thought it wasn't that subtle

LMAO . Yesterday, my friend was explaining the crazy thoughts and beliefs of his Liberal ex-wife school teacher . I can't post exactly what we said, but suffice it to say that we used the 'murderer' example too !!

Libs (like Pip) only preach tolerance when it comes to anything anti-establishment. That's where "liberal" comes from, bucking tradition in favor of "progression". Look at the ACLU for a prime example of an organization that only selectively stands up for civil liberties.

theres difference between murder and death penalty.

The death penalty is a punishment to those that commit murder. If you cant differentiate that, then you shouldnt ask this question.

And I leave saying, would those that oppose thedeath penalty maintain their position if there son, brother, cousin or friend was kidnapped molested for a year, then cut up into little pieces or buried alive? And would they maintain their position and want to live on the same block as a released molester of said crime?

keep ur own opinion strong but being open minded is always a great way to expand ur way of thinking in a very possitive way. think of it this way....not everyone will always have the same opinion as u have. hope this helps!

I always thought that killing was wrong.. but then all these religious people came up to me and said that the death penalty was good and that God supported it and then they told me that even though it's ok to kill, abortion is wrong... I was confused at first.. but I just drank some kool-aid and I feel a lot better now...... blah blah blah blah blah blah.................. it's obvious you don't understand what being open minded and being liberal truly mean.
