have you heard about the new gps sneakers? i was thinking, the government should inject sex offenders with gps chips so their movements can be monitored. if a child went missing the sex offenders who were in the area could be checked on. they could make sure they don't go near school and they wouldn't be able to move and live unregistered in an unknowing community. there has been tons of research that suggests pedophiles cannot be cured and will always want to reoffend. so i think if they were constantly being monitored the chance of reoffending would be extremely low. about their rights, i think the inncoent children and people of the united states have the right ro be protected from them. these chips cold be considered protection for them too so they couldn't be falsely charged for a crime they didn't commit and they would be very apprehensive to reoffend and knowing that that is not an option more of them may reach out for psychological help (such as counseling). what do you think?

Senator Dodd has proposed legislation that will close Guantanamo Bay prison for all but a couple dozen Al Queda operatives. He says that the rest of the prisoners can be moved into prisons in the US where they will be processed like any other prisoner. He states that the reason for doing so is to try improve America's standing in the world, which is impossible as long as Guantanamo Bay is open, as the tactics that are used there do not adhere to the Geneva Convention. He made the point that the difference between America and other countries is that they adhere to the Geneva Convention, and if we refuse to do so, we are destroying the ideals that America was built on. What does everyone think about closing Gitmo?

Warmer temperatures means MORE fertile lands not fewer.
More people die of cold related deaths than heat related deaths.
No one has ever died by water rising at a rate of 8 inches per 100 years.
CO2 is NOT a harmful gas to humans
CO2 is NOT destroying the atmosphere

Where are these negative effects coming from? If anything we should be burning MORE fossil fuels.

The first President Clinton was a real dissapointment, the next President Clinton could be detramental to our economy, as well as, our National Security. Can we afford anotther, "Clinton" in the White House.

See how our Ex-President really feels about 9/11. Read and see who he feels is really at fault. If you can agree with him, then vote his wife into office!

So many people talk as if smoking pot is a horrible thing. People get misinformed about it saying that people get lung cancer from it which is not true at all. besides the fact that it is illegal, weed is much safer than cigarettes and alcohol. Have you ever heard of someone smoking pot and beating his wife and kids because he was high on weed.

The only way i see weed ruining someones life is if they get arrested and it goes on their record, making them lose their jobs and look like a criminal or a drug addict to those who know nothing about the real effects of weed.

I am doing a project in school informing my peers on the problem of child labor and slavey. I am looking for certain facts, statistics, or the average life of a child suffering living in slavery. Your help would be greatly appreciated! Any information would be helpful. I really would like to inform some of my peers who live in a bubble so unexposed to the rest of the world.

I have heard this quote DOZENS of times referring to the Patriot act:

"Those that would sacrifice Freedom for Security deserve neither."
-Ben Franklin

However, why don't we apply that same quote to gun control? Why would you sacrifice the freedom of Americans to bear arms for a (false) sense of security??

Or to you guys just like some freedoms more than others?
