I'm an American looking to understand why this is the case. It doesn't really make sense to me, so obviously I'm missing something. Please help me understand the European point of view on this. If the US is willing to set up the missile defense system to cover all countries in NATO, why would those countries be unhappy about this? ...I can understand why the US populace would be unhappy about it. Because the system is outrageously expensive, and it hasn't been shown to work, so we are wondering why our tax money is going toward this idea. But why the European outrage?

"A leading figure in the Bush administration's march to war in Iraq helped justify the 2003 invasion by undercutting the CIA with questionable intelligence about Saddam Hussein's links to al Qaeda, a Pentagon watchdog agency said in a report on Friday.

I'm just wondering, why illegal aliens are entitled to get TIN from the IRS and not entitle to claim social secuity benefits? Why they are not entitled to adjust their status if they are paying federal and state taxes (I'm only refering the illegal that do so). Why they shuold be put in the same gruop of illegals that do not care about taxes and responsibilities within the country?

Isn't it a waste of money? Aren't we encouraging and promoting poverty and irresponsibility?

Have you ever known anyone who was on welfare? I have. They actually thought it was their job to collect government payments. Couldn't wait to have more kids so their payments would increase. Didn't want legitimate employment because it would cramp their lifestyles.

the recruiter said hed be able to email me on sundays but that really isnt saying much

I wil rephrase, I see alot of extremists on this website. Haters of Obama and Hilary, so far besides them, Rudy is the only person I see qualified. So my question is really,

Are you not voting for Hilary because she is a woman, or because of her politics?
Are you not voting for Obama because he is black, or because of his Politics?

Are any of you actually being influenced by the way they have done politics over the last few years, because it sure does not sound like it. Just curious.

While I have mixed feeling about the war the fact is we can't stop now.If we do then 9-11 will look like a fireworks show.I believe if we leave before Iraq is stable the terrorists will think they can beat us and they WILL COME HERE.I am a veteran of both Iraqi Wars and I know what I'm talking about.

And why if yes or no. I personally am of the opinion that as the symbol of a government of the people should be commercialized under heavy taxation at the very least. Corporate logos get more protection by the system than the flag.

this happened at montebello high school , on march 27,2006, i had never seen it before,,, students supposely from other high schools marched to montebello.. took down the american flag, attached the mexican flag,,, then put the american flag upside down underneath the mexican flag and raised them up the flag pole,,, this is on american soil,,

We should vote for Rudy Giuliani, good, smart man who is qualified.

And what's the deal with people saying "I'd love to see a black guy be president"? Doesnt that show ignorance. Shouldn't it be qualifications that lead to office, not "woah, that would be cool"? It's amazing that they let people vote without taking some sort of qualyfing test first.
