This is one of the reasons I am supporting Obama. He talks about uniting America instead of taking shots at the other side of the aisle. Democrats and Republicans are both sick of partisan politics. I think this guy has a real shot once his message starts getting heard.

I believe that when a nation or a people forget what made them great or cease to believe in the ideal that made them great, then will their civilization decline. Evidence: The Byzantines, Romans, Persians, etc.
