POLITICAL cowards?! I guess. Further, it isn't until recently, when the war wasn't doing very well that they decided to oppose it. Y'know, when voters started complaining. Then they figured they might lose their jobs over their support and pretended they had been against it all along. Meanwhile, I have their quotes from as far back as 1998, saying we should do what we are doing. I can provide them for you if you'd like.

They are not cowards, they are pariahs (outcasts) in the eyes of the rest of the World. They have been put back in charge in the Congress and Senate (just barely), but they have no real position or place to stand, in that, they only have Geo. Bush to complain about. They have little to say, except to the delight of out enemies--with whom they seem to be in accord--almost parroting the terrorists regarding the war and other crucial stands pertaining to our current position in Iraq.
Al qaeda wants us to surrender and get out.
So do the Democrats.
Iran wants to go on with its tyrannical leadership and harass us, Israel and the rest of the Arab countries with their nuclear power.
The Democrats want us to "not make waves" in their regard..."don't upset them"...is their cry.
Forget Bush, he's almost done in Washington. Listen to what the Democrats are saying. They have nothing to offer the people of this Country. All they have is the desire to call the shots regarding political appointments and the spending of your tax dollars...not for your benefit, but for social programs, for people who won't go to work as you do, struggling to make ends meet every week. The poor and the welfare recipients love them, but you pay for their popularity, or your tax dollars do. They don't want to extend the Bush tax cuts...that's raising taxes. Hillary wants socialized medicine...Obama wants to give everything to everyone. He said today he wants to change America...so do the Islamists...but then, he went to Islamic schools when he was a young man.
Please listen, and don't let your dislike of the war and Geo. Bush blind and deafen you to the reality of what the Democrats will bring to this Country if they get back into the White House.
History has a lot of tales to tell about what our past presidents have accomplished. Study that, and not just the scandals that the media loves to harp on, but true accomplishments and ultimate results of each Party's politics and accomplishments. You'll find that conservatism is more protective and beneficial to all citizens.

anybody became below partisanship below those situations. the two events had moderates, so we in fact agreed with one yet another maximum of time. additionally, the rustic had to react to the phobia assaults, yet Bush threw us right into a Iraq conflict which became a waste of our funds. Ever puzzled why Bush multiplied Medicare? He have been given some help from the Democrats, yet on the instant's Republicans could be so against that.

Maybe they see that the numbers are just not there! We do not have enough grunts in our military and we have exposed our self to horrible things if we take more away from defending the United States. The government is so stricked on letting people join that they will not get the numbers that are needed unless if something changes, and if you do not believe me on that than try to join!

THEY CATER TO SPECIAL INTERESTS AND DO NOT HAVE THE BALLS TO STAND UP TO BUSH AND DEMAND THAT OUR TROOPS BE SENT HOME, AND THAT THE WAR IS A LOST CAUSE! the republicans just laugh at them, because they know the democrats have no backbone and are afraid to seriouly challenge them! personally, it sickens me so much, i no longer vote for either party!! i am now independent!

What do you want them to do? They can't stop funding the war as long as we have troops over there. They need to be protected. Direct your anger at Bush. He deliberately started a war by lying to the Congress, the UN and the American people.

No; they are political cowards for realizing that it shouldn't be stopped, while being unwilling to admit this to their ignorant liberal constituency.

no because Democrats are doing lots of things to stop the war, but the Republicans who know its wrong go along with it because they refuse to admit being wrong
