Well actually, the bombing of Dresden, Germany by the RAF and our air force ,killed over 25,000 civilians. Yes,many civilians did die. That's war and it isn't fought pc. FDR also suppressed the media. And lest we forget, the internment camps for the Japanese Americans.

If you mean the civilians in Japan then yes, if you mean civilians in Europe, not really, that was pretty much the Germans. There has never been a war that did not involve civilians dying. It is the unintended yet necessary ramification of war. In Vietnam it was even more hazy because the VietCon where having women and children carrying bombs into bases, same with Korea a little, but not as much. When you get into more Gorilla Warfare post World War II, you deal with urban warfare and with that you deal with civilian deaths.

The war was fought on such a scope that civilian casualties were part of it. The Germans firebombed England. Do you think that they were so accurate that there were no civilian casualties. It was called "Total War or Vicotry". The concept was to totally devestate your enemy so they had to surrender. Manufacturing facilities were located in large cities so bombing naturally killed civilians.
That is why it is impossible to win these small conflicts that we have been involved in. Just targeting the enemies forces have never worked.
For those of you that talk about the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings read about the US firebombing of Tokyo that took 100,000 lives in one night.

Civilians were killed in all wars. There is no escaping it. It's just something that unfortunately happens. If my country were attacked I would know that as a civilian there would always be the chance that my life could end, and I'd accept that. Especially if I knew that people were fighting for my freedom.

Yes.
If you just look at the atomic bombing of Hiroshima & Nagasaki:
Dead - 105,000
Injured - 94,000
As a sidenote, WW2 was either the first or second war in history where civilians were actually targeted, the first would have been WW1. Before that, civilians did die but it was mostly unintentional.

Nice try Sonny, Saddam started the war between Iraq and Iran, Saddam invaded Kuwait, Saddam tried to wipe out the Kurds, Saddam also tried to send his troops into Saudi Arabia.

Everybody did. You have to go after the manufacturing facilities to win a modern war. Those are staffed by civilians. You bomb them, you are killing civilians. What is your point?

Mit Google-Übersetzer : Google Translator: confident, the allied conflict criminals are escaping justice. The winner writes the historic previous so as, even retroactively. The Allied conflict crimes, from politicians right down to the squaddies who're now no longer punished for their crimes on the Germans and the jap human beings, for the transport of the Cossacks to the communist criminals by using the British, for the mass homicide of Dresden, for the "Christian blessed "atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the main suitable conflict crimes in the historic previous of mankind. We could shield the memory of the fact, we could understand that we are one human beings and one race and the WW2 gin in no way finished, yet as much as now communicate with others maintains. 14 words .... international !
