Wash their dishes by hand or in a dishwasher?
Do they take baths or showers?

I'm just curious, because one in each of those questions uses more resources than the other. If they shower and use a dishwasher, how do they justify the excessive use of our limited fresh water supply?

I keep hearing from conservatives that poor people are lazy and just "don't want to work"...

but most poor people clearly do work when we have such a low unemployment rate, yet so many are near poverty... the mean earnings a year is around $24,000 (according to the census last time I looked) and that's pretty much pay check to pay check... which is pretty much poor... and are pretty much one inccident away from poverty... that's 50 percent that earn at or less than $24,000...

shouldn't over 50 percent of America be making hundreds of thousands of dollars living the American dream? or are just that many lazy?

do we have a lazy majority?

Instead of raising the minimum wage, why don't we first make it a law that everyone must be given a job? After all, an increased minimum wage only helps those who already have a job, why not help those who really need it and require that everyone be given a job?
If the government is able to say how much a company pays its employees, it should be able to say how many it pays.

I just saw a part of Super Size Me the other day, and it showed footage of these people out front of the white house, and he asked them to say the pledge of allegiance- THEY DID NOT KNOW IT!!! Then he asked them to sing the McDonald's Big Mac theme song, and they all sang it flawlessly. What the hell??

The 13th amendment states that there should be no involuntary servitude. That is exactly what the draft is in my opinion. I mean, sure, you're paid, but you are REQUIRED to register for the draft, right?! Even if you don't want to be drafted, you are still required to go, correct? Please, no mean anti-liberal comments, just state your opinion as to why or why not it's unconstitutional.

I have read numerous accounts of the dozens (or hundreds, depending on the account) of people associated with Bill Cinton who died violent, suspicious deaths while in possession of potentially damning information. Has anyone ever REALLY looked into these allegations? Is there some real information out there that is well-documented and authentic. It seems that if these allegations were even remotely true, one would hear more about them. I only see these allegations occasionally posted in a chat-room format by some lunatic right-wing neocon. Can anyone clear this up for me?

How long will it be before the left declares President Bush responsible for Anna Nicole Smith's death?

How long after that will it be before they decide he had her killed to cover up her instrumental role in the 9/11 conspiracy?

Why do conservatives say they're christian when this truth exists:

"I strongly disapprove of Bush's job and policies because he has violated every commandment that the Bible has in it. I don't know what God he has been talking to but I can't believe God has given GWB a pass on every commandment in the Bible.
Thou shalt not bear false witness: He lied to congress and the American people about Iraq's involvement with 9/11 and he lied about WMD's and cooked the books on intelligence.
Thou shalt not steal: Billions of dollars are missing from our Pentagon that went to fraudulent contractors and Bush pals.
Thou shalt not kill: over 600,000 dead Iraqies and over 3000 dead Americans as a result of this war base on lies
Thou shalt not disobey thy father and mother: GWB was told by his father not to invade and occupy Iraq.
Thou shalt not covet: Why are we in Iraq? We covet their oil and want to steal it."

Please answer my conserv hypocrits.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't she keep her name when she married Bill.
Did she change it to Hillary Rodham Clinton when he ran for governor or was it when he ran for president.
Oh ya, when did she drop the Rodham?
I'm not against women keeping their name when they get married, but I don't care for people that give up on their principals to get what they want.

I read, daily, comments about the socialist scare in the US in the form of National healthcare. Why, then, are the same people not screaming from the rooftops about unions? They are socialist forms to be sure.

A capitalist sets out with his money and an idea to build a business. He provides employment for a community. And then, without his ability to stop them, a union comes into play. You may say he deserves it...perhaps for bad business practices. But hey...its a capitalist society...should he not be able to run his business in any way he chooses?

Why is a union not socialist in your capitalist mindset?

What is the maximum percentage of your yearly income that you would give to your government in order to help less fortunate people? I am asking because I wonder where the line is drawn between the government being there to allow us to acheive happiness based on the choices we make, and us existing to help government achieve its goals.

It seems to me that social programs would work so much better if we as private groups worked to help the poor(with out the government). For example, if we created a culture that really honored those who donated to the poor(instead of movie stars), we could make it very desirable for people to donate to charity. Additionally, we already see how well groups like the United Way and the Salvation Army work... why not increase the number of those groups that we give money to? Why not take back a good portion of the 27% of your income(what I pay in taxes) and decide personally which charity, social, environmental, or community group it goes to help?

If this is true will this help, I have some doubts here as it appears the Gov dosn't actually know what being British is themselves, as they are busy asking all and sundry just what being British is all about.
Red telephone boxes, German inbred toffs and the intricate rules of cricket are not really cutting the mustard apparently anymore....
Assuming they figure it out what it is, is the plan then to teach this wisdom to certain British citizens who have taken to blowing things up recently. These people were British, they had British passports so now all of a sudden the Gov decides to seriously address the issue that just because someone has a British passport, it makes you about as British as a sardine in a tin.
Without real integration attempts from both sides this teaching of what being British is, is actually just another smokescreen with no real purpose at all, what do you think?
