The amount of people on here who say 'I dont necessarily agree with the war, but because America is at war now, I will support it 100%'

It really does my head in. You talk about fighting for freedom. Well FREEDOM means having the ability to question someones decision. To be able to speak up against it, even if its seen as unpatriotic to do so.

I will NEVER blindly follow the leader. George W Bush made a bad call to go to Iraq. That is just fact. The fact that we now have troops in there doesnt mean we should all just give up and go along with him despite the consequences.

One woman wrote in saying that if I dont support the war then essentially what Im saying is that her husband is fighting a war in vain.Well I know its hard to hear and not particular nice, but yes I do believe the war in Iraq is in vain. Me being quiet and just playing along while soldiers die every day doesnt suddenly make the war a worthy cause.

Why are so many liberals accusing conservatives of being brainwashed? I mean the Honest-To-God truth is that liberals control the media and the education system.

If that is where we as Americans get our knowledge from, and it's controlled be the left, how can the right possibly be brainwashing anyone?

Wouldn't be more accurate to say that the left are brainwashing our nation? Is it part of their programming to call those who think differently from what liberal teachers, professors and news anchors brainwashed when their in fact the ones who aren't thinking for themselves?

I have a B.A. in psychology and I would like to point out one of Freud's Ego-Defense Mechanisms. It's called Projection.

Projection is a self-deceptive defense mechanism which consists of contributing to others one's own unacceptable desires and impulses, actions or states of being.

Could these poor libs just need some counseling?

If Hillary becomes the next president, then everyone should get behind Jeb Bush for the next election. It just would look so cool in the history books.
....Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton, Bush
And then if Hillary serves two terms and Jeb get two terms, maybe Chelsea would be old enough to run.

Is there a hard & fast sentence for various crimes as I am continually amazed by the amount of people who go through lengthy & no doubt costly (to the rest of us) trials for such serious crimes as murder, drug dealing, firearms offences, rape etc and get handed a sentence & then a short time later are allowed to appeal & often get the term reduced on the grounds of the original sentence being too long or harsh! The police must be so frustrated to spend countless weeks & months getting someone to court / sentenced only to find later that what was a good sentence gets reduced. This sends out totally wrong message to those involved & the sentence handed down should be what it is & extended if more crimes come to light...... any thoughts?

A pipe is frozen in one of the apartments. There is no cold water, which means no toilet flushing and obviously, no cold water to drink. We haven't been able to shower (only extemely hot water comes out) They are saying that they don't want to have to dig to find out where the problem is, since they will have to tear down the walls. They are saying that we have to wait until the weather heats up, which isn't anytime soon according to the forecast, but they offered us today, after one week, to make us move permanently to another apartment so that they don't have to fix the frozen pipe, if that is indeed the problem. Can they do this? If not, what legal action can be taken to ensure they fix the problem. I failed to mention, we are the only ones in this end of the building, so we are the only ones affected.

US Attorney General Gonzales has applauded Brazil in their efforts to enforce piracy laws, dealing with the theft of intellectual property. (Music, movies, etc).

As a capitalist nation, how does America feel about legislation that will enforce laws to stop you from 'pirating' music and the like?

14 year old daughter is carrying on relationship with guy in military. We believe the guy to be 18-19. My husband talked to this man and ever wrote him a letter explaining to him that he forbid the relationship and it needed to stop immediatley. The man agreed. Come to find out, our daughter skipped school and we believe this guy was home from Georgia, picked her up and crossed state lines. We believe that they are sexually active. Now, she was a willing participant and returned home the next day. We want to press charges and believe we have enough evidence for a conviction. My question is....What will happen to him in the form of punishment? Mind you our daughter is no angel and is out of control and we are doing our best to put a stop to it now. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Oh, yeah, she is carrying on with this man at her mother's house which is in another state. It only takes about 25 minutes to get over there. She is my stepdaughter and my husband has custody.

they slap me and pinch me. last night they sprayed their cleanser on my food when cleaning. they turned the tv off. they kept telling me to get out. i yelled at them. they said that they would contact the campus police if i didn't get a hotel. they kept digging in my bag of food that i brought in from other places. they constantly give cat calls before i walk in to the store. they are immature and considerate it to be my fault if i get mad. they want me to tolerate it and develop a relationship of being their boyfriend or sugar daddy. they refuse to make me my orders. they put extra ingredients on my food. they create a hostile environment when no customers are in the store. they turn their radio on when real loud to where i can't read email. they are constantly sneaking up on me and reading my email over my shoulder. the business has internet. i am 34 male. the employees are 16 and 26 yr old females. i am a student in a restaurant at college. (ran out of words)
