Get into Intel....this is a HUGE foot in the door b/c they have to do a background check on you and this is worth over 50K to begin with!!
Your best bet is to obtain a TS clearance (Top Secret), but a Secret will also help. Having military exp works, but they also want to see a college degree (Bachelor's or higher) for a higher paying position. It also helps to have some knowledge and accuracy with weapons. Not all CIA jobs are the "undercover" but a lot to do with criminal investigations and a lot of that can be paperwork and phone calls. But, I would go Navy as there are fewer going to Iraq (more and more are, but we are not sending as many right now for ground troops)

I wish you luck and I hope this has helped you.

The CIA is actively recruiting right now and most new hires are not from the military.

The ability to speak another language, extensive overseas experience and the like are in the most demand.

The most desired degree by the CIA is economics, Masters and above. You can find all of this on their website...and you can apply today.

Military Intelligence Branch.

ASA - Army Security Agency.

Special Forces.

You can qualify for a TS (Top Secret) clearance, I presume.

Go to the CIA government web site, you'll find a whole bunch of info to help you out.

I would say CID, criminal investigations department. I have had a lot of contact with them recently due to grand larceny which was commited against me. They do all sorts of investigation and are very respectable. I think you could get a lot of valuable experience out of becoming CID. Google it and look at the requirements and see if they apply to you.
