1) Medical Expenses are the number 1 source of bankruptcy for families in this country.

2) Right now, people rely on their employers for Health Care.
a- This makes it more expensive (and risky) to hire new employees.
b- Keeps Employees stuck in unwanted jobs, because they don't want to lose benefits. Thus, a company misses the opportunity of hiring a more efficient, passionate employee to replace the one who is sticking around, doing the minimum work required to keep benefits.

3) The HMOs are benefiting tremendously from an Oligopoly. They collude to the detriment Physicians and all Americans who are in need of medical care.

Who are they ? Are they really efficient, though being french ?
Can they be compared with our own soldiers, with the SEALs or something like that ?

I lean to the Conservative side, but I know where I draw the line. I have opinions about social issues like the environment that might not fall in line with what people like.. well, you... would think about a Conservative.

My question to you is this... Where do you draw the line? In which areas do you part ways with many of your liberal brethren... at least as far as Conservatives would consider it a "liberal area" of thought?

I also submit that if you have NO areas where you differ from the extreme left liberal areas of thinking, you are part of the problem and not the solution. The middle is where things will be accomplished.

Dems:
Obama - not enough diplomatic experience & questionable background.
Clinton - She supported her husband's bombing of Iraq and the invasion by the Bush admin. Now she wants to reverse the stance and say she made a mistake. Who wants a "flipper"?

Repubs:
Guiliani - most famous for being a victim of the WTC attack on New York and for having been married three times.

McCain - Voted for finance reform, but now says he has to raise millions to get elected. Supports an unpopular war and does anything to make the evening news - a 'glory hound'

Seems to me, none of these people are even shining examples of llegislators... why would we want ANY of them as President? Or, are we, as usual, just voting for whom is most likely to win AS a republican or democrat?

What do YOU think? Don't just weigh who will end a war, or win a war, but which of these is qualified to hold the World's most powerful political office?

"PITTSBURGH - The father of a young girl who died of exposure had knocked her unconscious because he was angry, then took her outside in subfreezing temperatures and left her there, police said before the man's arraignment Thursday.

Nyia Miangel Page, who was about to turn 2, was found dead Sunday on a wooded knoll about a 10 minute walk from the family's home. Tiny footprints in the snow suggested she had gotten up and wandered around before she died, police said."

Being the father of a young daughter myself, i would kill this man with my bare hands if i could. A person like this has NO PLACE being alive on this earth.

I realize she has her constituency in Ca. , but now she's Speaker of the House of the United States of America !!! Third in line to the Presidency !!!
The Speaker needs to be close to Wash. D. C. with all the action going on these days .

Wouldn't it be more prudent that she make herself more available ?
Or, in case of national emergency, is everybody obligated to WAIT for a jet to fly CROSS-COUNTRY ? Wasting fuel and Unnecessarily ADDING to GLOBAL WARMING ?

Most wartime presidents saw polls in the teens while in wartime due to the nature and unpredictability of war in general.

Yet history remembers them as visionaries and heroes.

Iran will strike against US interests worldwide if it is attacked, the country's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has warned.
"The enemies know well that any aggression will lead to a reaction from all sides," he said.

Is this what the NEOCONS mean when they say they are making us safe?

I'm baffled that politicians, media pundits, etc are continuously saying things like 'If we do so and so we're sending the wrong message to our enemies...'

Are we so easily influenced by what our enemies think of us? Is it even possible we will ever win over Osama Bin Laden? Does anyone else think this is rediculous? We should not be basing policy on what people who hate us MIGHT think.

Also saying things like that is rediculous, since the enemies are hearing that as well. Imagine if your father said to you 'son, you need to so and so...' and your parents went into a different room where you could still hear them and your mom said, 'You're sending him the wrong message, we should tell him this instead...'

Military use and political action should be OBJECTIVE based, not done out of fear what our enemies might 'think' about us.

The Bush administration sent 363 TONS of cash into IRAQ. What excuses will the Republicans use to justify this one and what controls were there on the money? In a time where military does not even have the proper equipment and body armor to fight, is this not a stupid move for the Bush adminstration to make. Who in their right mind would do this? http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/02/06/iraq.cash.reut/index.html
