My two young girls were sexually abused two years ago, the accused has been questioned about it but after four months the case has now been dropped through apparently lack of evidence, despite the Police beleiving my children are telling the truth. The accused has been questioned on three previous occasions, where different people have accused him of doing the same, this spans over a ten year period, but each time he seems to of wormed his way out of any punishment whatsoever. Is there anything i can do now with relation to getting some sort of conviction, the man is a risk to children, also how do i explain to a 11 and 10 year old who were brave enough to say what they did, that the man who did it to them as got away with it scot free, without even a caution. I'm at my wits end not knowing which way to turn, does nobody worry about the danger people like this pose to society, or is it easier just to sweep it under the carpet.

Please help, only serious answers. Thank you

I don't remember ever being polled on this, and neither do my British, French, German, Venezuelan, Chinese, Indian, Pakistani, Swedish, or Polish friends.

You have to agree as 'self-appointed' Police of the world we are not doing such a great job right?

A friend of mine is an international student of F1 Visa here in United States, he is finished 27 credits already and need to finish 6 more, his F1 status expires in May 2007 and he is married to a US Citizen and he claims that he doesn't have money to register for a course since he is feeding the family of three including himself using his grace of credits that he has and he is not working. He has already applied for his adjustment of status back in December 2006 and he thinks that he would get his work permit before end of March 2007.

We are fighting a war on the enemy's terms...outnumbered 150k to millions.

The enemy has nowhere to go with everything to gain but nothing to lose.

Only americans would be ignorant enough to think they are going to win with their puppet government in IRAQ

By refusing to admit defeat, conservatives think they can avoid responsibility. Instead, they try to blame the defeat on those that recognize the defeat and try to leave Iraq. Under the absurd argument that if we stay long enough we will win.
They have sent our soldiers to die in a needless war and claim to be "supporting" our soldiers. While those who attempt to save them from dying in an unnecessary war are accused of "not supporting the troops".
Then in the future if there is a terrorist attack they will blame the "liberals' ( those who oppose the Iraq occupation) for the attack, eventhough it has been established that Iraq didn't have WMDs. If there are terrorists in Iraq, its because the invasion created an environment for them.
What is it about these neocons ? Why can't they admit they made a mistake ? Is it for lack of character ? Not having the courage to admit they were wrong for almost four years ? Just being ignorant ? Just being stupid ? What ?

Physician Assisted Suicide is when if somone is dying from a servere illness, they could request to have medications to make the pain go away during there death, by the doctors.

In most states, this is illegal because it is believed that it is inhumane to do so.

My opinion on this, is that if you're dying from an illness, and you want medication to ease the pain during your death it is your right to request it. If I was in that position, I would want meds to help me out, I wouln't want to die in servere pain. Would you?

I mean, it doesn't make sense when it's humane to put animals down, or to kill people with electric chairs and lethal injection. But it's not okay to help someone out?

What's your oponion on this?

People point fingers at lawyers for our rising health care costs, but is this fair? My Points, and sources are below.

-Malpractice costs amounted to “less than 2 percent of overall health care spending. Thus, even a reduction of 25 percent to 30 percent in malpractice costs would lower health care costs by only about 0.4 percent to 0.5 percent, and the likely effect on health insurance premiums would be comparably small.” [Congressional Budget Office, “Limiting Tort Liability for Medical Malpractice,” 1/08/04]

-Medical errors kill as many as 98,000 Americans every year and cost as much as $29 billion, according to the Institute of Medicine. Other research suggests that the human toll may be far higher, with preventable errors and negligence taking the lives of 195,000 people each year. [“To Err is Human: Building a Safer Health System,” Institute of Medicine, 2000; “Patient Safety in American Hospitals,” HealthGrades, July 2004, www.healthgrades.com]

i heard stories about crossing the border.
it costs lots of money and of course it is very dangerous.
i understand "the american dream" and wanting a better life, but i understand that 10.000$ is lots of money in most ofthe latino countries. so why don't you invest it in a small business or something in you country instead of taking a shot and risk everything even your life???
i'd like to hear from people who did it and why.
I don't want any stupid comments back

We could train and equip units with the most modern firearms and tactical weapons systems on earth or in space for that matter and then let Corporations or nations who needed defending from outside sources pay us to protect them.
Having a truly international force would help our inteligence services and in actuality we could probably pay less retirement out of US taxpayers pockets by privatizing their pension and Social Security needs.
Of course we would still need domestic protection so a more militarized civilian force for protecting borders and city streets would form a Praetorian Guard to protect our politcal needs and be paid for out of local buisness taxes.
