No, but you must inform all concerned that you have resumed/started work again or you will be in BIG trouble. You don't get sick pay AND wages !

I don't know what a "sick certificate" is. But if you are getting unemployment income or some other income relating to this, then it probably is. Why should somebody pay you because you can't work when in actuality you can?

The way our crazy government in the US works, these situations may not necessarily be illegal. But this is unethical and immoral in my estimation. The taxpayers shouldn't be stuck with a dishonest loophole like this.

I'm not sure what you mean my sick certificate, but it is illegal to work if you are on sick leave from your regular job. If you are getting benefits of any kind, then yes.

No - but it is illegal to claim sick benefits from one company while working for another. But if you're signed off for say 6 weeks, but after 4 decide you can return to work then that's fine.

No, but if you have a sickness certificate to excuse yourself from one employer while working for another, and the first employer finds out, they'd have grounds for summary dismissal.

yes. I once had an employee who was saying he was signed off sick, then I found out he was working somewhere else while also claiming sick pay from us. So once we got the proof we cut off his sick pay. Funnily enough he didn't question it! busted!

If you try to go into your work and you are signed off you will be breaking health & safety and won't be insured by the company to be there.

Don't know if it actually against the law, but should your employer find out he would be within his rights to dismiss you without notice. If claiming benefits then that would be against the law
