Since there is no plan on attacking Iran without any provocation or justification, like, say, Clinton's unprovoked attack on Serbia, any action of the US towards Iran would be a retaliatory strike after Iran did something.
I'm just trying to figure out whose side France will be on.

To many it should have happened long ago.
If the US's "stop the future sociopaths" strategy is going to work, it will require a long conflict with lots of attrition. So it won't happen for a long while. The Israelis my nuke them soon though.
So my money is on 2010
