The president of Iran is a member of the fanatic twelver Shia sect. For those that do not know what this is, I suggest you look it up. They believe that it is their duty to bring about as much destruction and mayhem to the worl to hasten the return of the 12th or hidden imam. So, Iran gets what it wants no matter the outcome. The true question that needs answered is do you let Iran run all over the world causing death and destruction? I would hope that the answer to this would be no. Unfortunately, the media ignors these facts and chooses to focus on anti-war stances. This is our Vietnam legacy, and why the US is not capable of winning another war. The best we can ever hope for is a tie. Need proof? Turn on the news and count the pro war stories versus the anti-war stories. How many in Hollywood are for the war. Pro-war in and of itself sounds like a horrible thing. What many fail to understand is that war, while a vile thing, is sometimes the only answer to fight evil. People do die and innocent people will die. Tragic? Yes! I am not all happy that we are in a war now, but I understand the broader implications of not fighting. As to Iran, they can not be left unchecked. There words and actions will do nothing but embolden others to do the same. I would hope that the lowering of oil prices will cause even more turmoil for the Iranians. Low oil prices means even more unrest in a country that is suffering. If nothing else, remember this, if Iran has its way, the entire Middle East will be under their control, and thus a majority of the oil. Do you think that is a good thing? I would say that the chances are very good that we will eventually have to deal with these nuts in a military manner unless the people of Iran rise up and overthrow the current leaders.
