I believe its for the welfare of the people. If we tote homosexuality s being perfectly ethical in our society, how many youth would be tempted to try it? I have respect for all people, but there is a boundary that should not be crossed. LGBT's can do what they please, but be sure when it transgresses certain boundaries they will always be opposed. I dont like calling them "gay" or "lesbians" etc. I suppose its just the way things are. They are human beings. Its like a nightlife.
Politicians represent the majority, and though I truly love all people, still its not something that should be aggresively campaigned.

Not all politicians oppose Gay marriage. People who disagree with Gay marriage aren't always homophobes, sometimes they just don't agree with the lifestyle and want what's in the best interest of the nation.

Politicians oppose Gay marriage because their constituencies oppose gay marriage. If they want to get re-elected, they have to say that gay marriage is wrong.

Their constituencies are against gay marriage because they believe in an iron-age religion that reflected the public sentiment 2000 years ago. Nowadays we know better, but religious indoctrination is difficult to get rid of.

I disagree that it rather is variety of a black individual balloting for McCain. utilising a racist evaluation means which you're a racist... i could desire to could think again my selection to characteristic you as a splash! i've got not heard approximately this actual flesh presser earlier, nor his stance in this situation, or the rest approximately him; yet, it does advise that he's a self-hating moron who rather does not comprehend the situation in any respect. i might evaluate it to slaves throughout the time of the Civil conflict who fought for the south. there have been no longer many that did this yet, there are a handful of circumstances whilst this did happen. Which begs the question, why might you combat for something that needless to say, and undeniably, works against you, lessens your place and stature in society, and deprives you of rights?! i assume that there are/is justification(s) for utilising this to politics; i.e., a black individual balloting for McCain, a black individual balloting against Civil Rights, and so on. (McCain is a mentioned bigot who has made specific comments and racial slurs approximately non-white ppl and girls individuals, together with his own spouse!) that does no longer advise that I trust that/those justification(s) yet, it does advise that i could be attentive to how somebody could desire to be that stupid and are available from that attitude...

It's a total MORAL issue and MORAL only. As quee-r as the preacher is he'll never tell. The politicians are scared to say anything against moral issues out of fear of retaleation against them. I for one am against it. Discrimination has become the fear word in America and opens the door to any and all perversion known to man. Try another word discrimination has grown old and feable and is ready for burial.

Yes, the politicians -- and the voters who elected them -- discriminate against gays and lesbians (that is, me and you).

You didn't know that? What planet have you been living on?

If they are homophibic, then why do gays still go to them? I think gays should show some effort in getting what they want. Not through the government, because that obviously won't work.

It's not just the politicians...it's the general public. But politicians want the majority of votes and there are more straight folks than guys (probably, I personally don't know...or care). :)

Homophobia??? No.
But if you open the door to "same-sex marriage" when the literal definition of marriage is "between a MAN and a WOMAN", then what's next??? INTER-SPECIES marriage? Polygamist marriage??? Marriage between children??? Marriage between siblings???
Someone even WEIRDER will start proclaiming they've been discriminated.
