Serving in the military is voluntary. If someone chooses to volunteer and serve in the armed forces, does anybody have the right to try and stop them? Personally, I support anyone who chosses to do something that he or she wants provided that it is not unlawful or illegal. Fascists are known for not allowing people the right to choose, the freedom to express themselves. It is tyranny. Does anyone have any thoughts?

There's a large portion of the country that didn't agree with her lifestyle,. . . . . . we all saw it on national TV . And if you think about it a little, you might be wondering if she went to heaven .
What if your life was on TV ?

Thinking about it that way, usually gets us to recognize our own faults a little better .

Hillary even swore a few years ago that (1) the evidence was consistent that Iraq had WMDs during BOTH Bill's and Bush's presidencies and (2) intelligence agencies of all major countries were in agreement.
Was I an idiot to trust Bill Clinton and Hillary????

Why is it that the same people who want to erode the separation of church and state and make it illegal for same-sex couples to marry on the grounds that "It's a democracy and they have to listen to the majority", often say that politicians should not take the polls into consideration when making decisions or they are not strong leaders?

I payed my fine 12 months ago and completed my one year drivers suspension last september. I have been told that it takes 3 years to get a pardon - my offence was summary conviction so it is 3 years not 5. Can I get one faster based on the type of employment I am involved in as I need a clear abstract and criminal record. Alot of employers have mentioned pardons. This is really starting to worry me. I have no other criminal records and so am wondering if I can do something to speed this up.

They asked for an investigation a while back but it was granted yesterday after it became clear that there had been false statements made to Congressmen regarding the reason the border patrol officers were prosecuted.
"McCaul and several other House members from the Houston area who are involved in the Border Patrol agents' case said the misstatements never would have come to light had they not forced Skinner's office to release an investigative report on the shooting.
The report, released Wednesday with some sections deleted, does not substantiate what McCaul said were some of the more inflammatory claims made by the inspector general's office last fall. The claims included the alleged "shoot a Mexican" comment and an assertion that agents Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos had no fear for their lives when they fired 15 rounds at the trafficker as he ran back toward Mexico after ditching a van with 743 pounds of marijuana."

My fiance is going into the Marines. He will be starting Basic Training in June. We will be married by the time he leaves for basic. The father of a young girl who died of exposure had knocked her unconscious because he was angry she wouldn't go to bed, then took her outside in freezing temperatures and left her there, police said before the man's arraignment Thursday.
Nyia Miangel Page, who was about to turn 2, was found dead Sunday on a wooded knoll about a 10 minute walk from the family's home.
Tiny footprints in the snow suggested she had gotten up and wandered around before she died, police said.
Her father, William Lorenzo Page, 23, of Braddock, was arrested on charges of criminal homicide, kidnapping, false reports and simple assault. He did not have an attorney in court Thursday morning, and was jailed without bond.

According to a prelim scan through the budget, it appears a few things are ringing true.
As usual, we are spending more on foreign aide then we do on education. We are spending less on space exploration than we do on illegal immigration, the same pattern that has been there for a while. If it were up to me, I would put some funds into Education, healthcare, social security, stem cell research, space exploration, you know, things that seem to help us as a general population. Spending huge amounts on uncontrollable situations overseas makes no sense if you can find one homeless, sick, or hungry person in the states.
So, how would you prioritize it?

On Feb. 1st 2007 my boyfriend took my car to drop of my little sister at school because i was running late. I get a phone call from him saying someone hit my car and it was NOT his fault. Today is Feb. 7,2007 and i get a phone call from the insurance company saying he had gotten 3 tickets from this accident. I only knew about 1 ticket(for not having his license with him) He never told me about the others! He only told me that the other person slammed on their brakes and slid into my car(it was icy out) The insurance said that he was speeding and didnt even stop at the stop sign. So therefore i have to pay for the damages on my car. ( I have liability only for insurance) I dont know what to say to him and i dont know if i should believe anything he says! I have a feeling he is just going to lie about it some more and swear up and down he didnt do it! WHat should I do and say?? Im only 16 this is my 1st car and i bought it myself! Im so upset about this!
