The bright side of it all is we won't have to sit on the same plane as her.

Check your facts.
(1) Pelosi didn't want to fly on an Air Force plane; she wanted to fly commercial. The Seargent-At-Arms of the House has demanded that she not do that due to security concerns.
(2) Hastert flew on an Air Force plane as speaker, as was the policy post 9/11
(3) Remember that the Speaker of the House is the second in line for presidential succession. The Pres and the Veep each get their own (very very very large) plane to fly wherever the heck they want (like Maine, or the pres's ranch). Pelosi won't be flying all over the world; just home. (She doesn't get a residence in DC; she has to pay for one).
(4) Pelosi has not made any demands, other than that stopping to refuel is unncessary (she can just fly directly home on commercial liners)
(5) The seargent-at-arms is negotiating with the air force.
(6) Even Tony Snow said that this is a ridiculous accusation against the speaker.

(7) Where do you get this $300,000 number. I'm sorry, but no plane costs $300,000 per trip.
ABC News stated that it would cost a maximum of $22,000 per trip.http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=2857672&page=1

Yes it does, you have to be able to understand the way people's minds work on these issues. She's a liberal, therefore her biggest supporters are poor people. They relate to her or any other successful, liberal figure in that they themselves feel that the jet is "theirs" as much as it is for her use. It's an awful beast, poor and liberal. They just can't understand that while they're cheering on the success of someone they believe is going to save them, they're being abused. It's all very sad.

Get your facts straight. Every Speaker of the House has the right to an air force jet to fly them to their home district. Dennis Hastert had a small one because he only had to fly to Chicago.
Speaker Pelosi is asking for an air force plane that will make it to San Francisco without stopping to refuel. An economy of time and fuel.
Do you really object to that?
$110,000 per hour. How absurd can you get.

How many trips and how many taxpayer dollars have we paid to fly the President to Crawford, TX or to campaign for fellow Republicans? It is all politics. Both parties are equally guilty!
