I don't know what happened this year, but slander campaigns have actually hurt candidates. I think America as a whole is tired of the messiness in politics. I think that was spoken loud and clear on Nov 7, 2006. I for one really would like some kind of campaign ethic bill passed that would disallow slanderous campaign ads. I'm not one that believe everything that she see's anyway. But there is that 30% that still think George Bush is doing a good job as president. If they think that, they're liable to believe lies to

No I am not. In California we just had a gubernatorial race between the popular movie star governor, Arnold Schwarzenneger and treasurer Phil Angeledes. Angeledes spent millions on smear campaign tactics in the primary and general elections. Many people felt like I do. Arnold hasn't been too bad as governor and Angeledes is so negative that Arnold won by a very comfortable margin.

The best way to rid this country of Slander Campaigns is to refuse to vote for any candidate who only offers the demonization of his/her opponent and offers nothing concrete by way of a plan to solve real problems that confront the people.

So listen carefully to both the candidate and their staff. Is this person offering you a positive outlook on the future, based on real ideas and solutions? Or, is this person offering you a total destruction of the character of his/her opponent?

Which one will you vote for.

like the campaign commercial that attacked Kerry's military service record, the one that turned out to be completely false, ironic since Bush dodged the draft and didn't have much of a service record at all.

a person only tears down their opponent when they have nothing to put on the table. for some reason the masses are willing to listen to that kind of propaganda rather than seeing it for what it truly is. as proof I offer up that GWB got elected twice by that method.
