According to a prelim scan through the budget, it appears a few things are ringing true.
As usual, we are spending more on foreign aide then we do on education. We are spending less on space exploration than we do on illegal immigration, the same pattern that has been there for a while. If it were up to me, I would put some funds into Education, healthcare, social security, stem cell research, space exploration, you know, things that seem to help us as a general population. Spending huge amounts on uncontrollable situations overseas makes no sense if you can find one homeless, sick, or hungry person in the states.
So, how would you prioritize it?

Education is the most important thing in the world, if you do a good job there a lot of other needs will get filled on their own. I agree though, don't just throw money at it, decide WHAT needs to be done FIRST, a lot of reform can be done without spending more money. Spend money as well and if need be on REFORMING the immigration process. Instead of EITHER deporting EVERYONE or giving EVERYONE amnesty, kick the people out who have committed serious crimes, let people who WANT to be here and WORK HARD TO HELP THIS COUNTRY stay. Foreign aid is fine, but again help the poor and destitute, don't use the money to support countries that support terrorism. And unlike some others, I have no problem with space exploration, there is nothing wrong woth having a VISION for this country as JFK did in the 60's.

SSI would be much better off if it had been left in an isolated fund and not dipped into all the time.
private investment options there are the only thing thats going to save it.

stem cell research. well if your talking about embryonic research well it it would be privately funded if it showed any promise at all.
adult stem cells and blood cord cell programs I could see some money for since those have actually shown results.

Why keep throwing money at education instead of reforming it? more money hasnt produced any results in recent years. I like the voucher program. I am all for public educators making decent money .. as long as we get results.

You talk about spending huge money on uncontrollable situations. well so far most of the domestic issues haven't been helped by simply throwing money at them either.

Could you give examples of how space exploration has helped us as a general population. Foreign public health care systems all have been pretty much failures. Social security is being eaten up BY illegal immigrants. However I agree with your education and stem cell research points.

I'm with Steve. Just how is space exploration benefiting the general population? Now you have a good list, but Illegal Imigration SHOULD have a higher budget than space exploration.

you will have any form of wedding ceremony you elect and spend as lots on it as you elect. yet, you will desire to comprehend that many human beings think of that weddings are overpriced and the money would desire to be spent on simpler issues like properties. I take place to trust that too- sorry. a marriage, in my opinion, is relating to the dedication 2 human beings make to one yet another. it is not relating to the frills and ribbons of the reception afterwards. yet you at the instant are not soliciting for human beings's evaluations on weddings are you? whilst human beings worry you relating to the fee of the marriage in simple terms chortle it off with some thing like "that's a physically powerful element which you at the instant are not figuring out to purchase it" or "do no longer hardship, we isn't residing in a cardboard field after the marriage". that's an rather own decision so in case you have the flexibility on your fable wedding ceremony- choose for it and don't hardship approximately what others say. BTW, how does your fiance sense approximately all of it?

Medicaid and Medicare are due to be cut significantly. That is completely unacceptable. I would love to hear how space exploration benefits the general population.

To much money going into the military and too many tax cuts going to the oil industry and war profiteers. And, too much money being stolen out of the treasury and being boxed up going to Iraq.
