liberals tout themselves as being champions of human rights and defenders of freedom and equality and the "do gooders" of society who stand for everyone's freedom of speech and expression.

sorry liberals i just don't see it. go to any college campus and say something even vaguely conservative and you will receive death threats, verbal & physical assaults, or a failing grade. the columbia incident is a perfect example. when the minutemen were giving a speech, liberals rushed the stage and assaulted the speaker. on message boards, all i see out of liberals is name calling and hate spewing towards anyone who disagrees with your secular leftist worldview. your icons are thugs and murderers like che mao pol pot stalin castro, mandela, mugabe, mumia, and tookie. and worst of all, you support the slaughter of 45 million unborn babies that's over seven times as many as hitler. you can say "well conservatives do yadda yadda " but you can't deny that libs aren't hateful. your actions prove it.

Okay, so for a minute here, I am going to assume that Iran's nuclear facilities are indeed intended for weapons and not for nuclear power, I will also assume that they want every Israeli killed instead of Ahmadinejad's actual statement: Israel will be wiped off the map just as the USSR was (I.E. Border change). Now, assuming they get the bomb, do you really think they'd be a threat? Are they really stupid enough to hit Tel Aviv with an MRBM loaded with warheads, and then take a nuclear retaliation from Israel that would nuke Iran into the earth?

Some 'people' say he's responsible for 9/11 too. . . . . ok, so if he could pull off that GIANT conspiracy. . .. . .. then how hard would it have been to have the military 'uncover' WMD's in Iraq ? And then the Republicans would have ALL won overwhelming victories in the November elections !!!

I'd just love to read any 'logical' responses to this !!!!

trying to force an American style democracy on a bunch of third world wackos?
Why or why not?

cause the way I see it, when we are "finished" over there, we will still have the broken borders and the vulnerabilities that we have now except with thousands of Americans dead and upward or possibly over 1 trillion dollars later here.

The only answer that you that support this can possibly have is "well It wasnt supposed to be like this, but now that it is we must finish" and that to me is nothing short of pure incompetence within the "leadership"

Its hard to say, but at this time we do know that the victims of our secret police are from many professions, backgrounds, races, and religions; and, we can quickly discern one common characteristic they all share which is: expression. These law abiding people not only believed in their liberties as they were taught by their leaders, teachers and fellow citizens but were brave enough to express them in one way or another and ultimately brought the tyrants to their door. In addition, we can deduce that the secret police may have a two-fold plan which is to harass and maybe kill the politically incorrect and run experiments with the new weaponry at the same time.

I'm all for free speech, but when a person says they are a High School English Teacher, do they have the right to openly speak out in defense of a convicted sex offender to their students & to others? Should these types of teachers have mental health evaluations? As a parent & a former victim of abuse, I am interested to hear how others think regarding this very serious subject.
