Teachers should teach the subjects without any biased views or opinions. To do so should end up in suspension or even firing. A child is sent to school to learn, not to go to a seminar put on by an opinionated instructor

Who express, or who indoctrinate their students? The second one, sadly, takes a dim view of the students.

Teachers should certainly be discouraged from preaching any one political or religious side, because students should feel free to express their own opinions, and a teacher who feels strongly one way doesn't help that. But there would have to be a clearly drawn line, because there's a difference between a teacher who answers the questions of "Who are you voting for?" versus a teacher who goes on and on about something political, or grades down or up depending on the political stance of an essay.

Absolutely. My nieces were lectured in thier homerooms about how their parents need to vote for the school budget so the schools can have money to pay the electricity and heat and so they can keep being their teachers. They are despicable bringing their politics into the classroom and brainwashing with propaganda.

It's funny that the liberals want all scientists who don't agree with their version of global warming and want an open dialog of alternative reasons to be fired and lose government funding, while at the same time having no problems when elementary school students are subjected to NEA propaganda by teachers.

Yes.

however, they are protected by tenure and the Teachers Union.

i remember one case distinctively...

a teacher sexually assulted some of his students. The school tried to fire him, but the Teachers Union stepped in and said no.
The Teachers Union also delayed the court process for 6 YEARS!
During this time, the teacher was not actively teaching in the school... but he was still recieving a normal salary...

The Teachers Union sucked up about 1 million trying to save the job of a teacher who got convicted on several counts of sexual assault....

The Teachers Union are the reason we have so many liberal minded idiots now-a-days....
its also why the schools have such half-as* teachers... theres no competition between them..

The Teachers Union needs to be stopped. Now.

Taking the stance that there is no one correct political view, stance or ideology is, in itself, a political view or ideology. It's called moral relativism. So it would be impossible not to get punished or fired.

I believe so. A child will grow to have a mind of their own. They do not need to have outside influences such as a trusted teacher to hold their hand into the world of politics and show them the "better path". Democrat or Republican.

Not fired but forced to bring in a lecturer to express the opposite views and children or students should have their tests graded by impartial teachers

yes, punishment would be quite nice...but considering most of the teachers are liberal (not all!) and belong to unions, they'll just argue back and ask for more tax dollars for the classroom. they'll simply state that they were using the 1st amendment. but if a conservative teacher states an opinion, they should get fired!

Not a bad idea, but you will lose half your teachers
(K-12).
And 90% of your professors.

Maybe not fired, but fined, yes. Teachers should teach, that's it. They should stay away from politics and they shouldn't impose their religion onto their students.
(I am a teacher.)
