I find it interesting that the religious right supports the party that is most supportive of American business, which it's main goal, for the most part, is to make money...

the Bible says some pretty rough things about being wealthy and the value of money... how does this work inside the U.S. though, where money is often associated with success... yet many call us a "Christian nation"

I personally know someone who was raped at seventeen, and they now wish to press charges against the person who raped them. Has the statute of limitations run out because they took a while to decide this or because the person was a minor, they can press charges seven years later? Any help is appreciated but in all honesty serious answers only. Thank you

Right now i am 16 and i have a 1yr old baby the father is 22, and in jail looks like he is gona be in there for the next 3-5 yrs. I know i can file for statatory rape right now because of the age difference but if i do that would be another 10 years added to his sentence and i want to get money from him for her. I am going to file for full custody and try and take away his visitation rights. I am worried about him trying to fight againt me in court even though i do have a better chance of wining i still dont wanna take that risk. I want to be ble to say you either sign the papers or i will file for statatory rape. But what if he decides to try and get visitation rights say ten years from now wil i still be able to charge him with statatory rape... my daughter is my proof. My reason for wanting to take away his visitation rights is that i am 6 yrs youger than him and the girl he had cheated on me with was also 6 yrs younger than him and if hes looking at girl who r 6 yrs younger than...

Source: USA military kicks in doors during their rounds in Iraq and scare each and every family they make contact with. The USA now knows there are no WMD in Iraq but still fights in Iraq. Iraq did not do 9-11. Iraq no threat to the USA but the military still kicks in doors. This tactic ( Kicking in doors of civilians ) did not work in Vietnam and it will not work in Iraq. North Korea and Iran are more dangerous so why not go there and kick in doors.

I really enjoy helocopters.
Special Ops and everything.
My dad enjoyed fixing them, he was in the special ops as well.

But i wanna try to make it farther then him.
But first where do i start off at?
Get my bachelors degree as mechanical engineering, then go as an elisted officer for the army.

Take their classes.

But what all do i need to do.
Everything. How long, etc.

I'm 17 right now graduating with a G.E.D. "because i was homeschooled" in a month. Do i even need to go to college first? Army might pay for it? Ok well i don't want to be a troop for 2 years until i get to attend classes for enlisted officer thn 2 more for flight school....

I'm am amazed at the amount of intolerance and ignorance on this board when it comes to the War on Terror.

It's not only the war, but the intolerance concerning Muslims, whether it's a Senator from Illinois (whose bio states that he is a Christian and member of the United Church of Christ), or the family down the street. One can only hope that the myopic viewpoints on this board aren't an actual reflection of the populace of this country.

You do understand that terrorist groups use Islam as a means to create suicide bombers based on the promise of a glorious afterlife.

This is supposed to be a war against terror, not a war against Islam. Blame the terrorist groups, not the religion.

Stating that Islam is responsible for the suicide bombers would be akin to stating that Catholicism was responsible for the development of the Irish Republican Army, and their use of explosives during their conflict.

This is a conflict, not a crusade (which would be English for jihad).

I have a few questions, my wife wants to divorce me, she has a conditional green card, she wants to divorce me and take our daughter with her back to her country, my daughter which is born in US, I don't want to loose my daughter, Can she do that? Clinton recently announced that she wants to take the profits of big oil? What are the qualities that define an American? Has America lost it's identity in regards to culture and it's history up to this point? Has America become the salad bowl instead of the melting pot?

Is there no one thing to assimilate to anymore?

my daughter has just told me that her father has touched her inappropriately. as soon as we found out, we called the police. a sheriff came by and my daughter told her about where she was being touched. although she was scared she spoke. i'm proud of her. the sheriff said that my daughter will not be made to go to her dads house (she goes every other weekend). she says that, as far as she is concerned, she is in danger when she is there. i am still in shock. i'm scared for my little girl. what happens next? from what i understand cps will get involved. is it possible that she will have to go back to her dads for the weekend visits?

Here is the story. About a year or so ago, I had a photographer take some photos of me. At the time, I was a minor. Anyway, he told me that he would retain the copyright on my photos. My mom and I didn't sign anything. So after he took the photos, I found out he was a pervert. He takes erotic photos of women, and my photos are amongst those photos. He didn't take any nude photos of me, but he made my breasts look bigger with a photo editor.I don't want my images around those images. About 6 months ago, I requested that he not use my photos, and he said no problem. But today, I check on his site and a photo of mine is on there. Do I have any legal grounds to bring a suit? Or is there anything I can do to get him to remove my photos once and for all? Thanks for your answers.

Since the initial invasion of the coalition forces into Iraq, I haven't really heard anything of the Kurds and their position on the current conflicts occuring there. We always hear about the Sunni and Shiite, but nothing on the Kurds. I would prefer answers from those that actually know.
