I... beg your pardon?! Are you quite secure in the head? When any government condones -- no, PERMITS -- one's right to deprive another of one of his most basic, fundamental rights... This is amazing. I certainly hope you were not serious in asking this question. If you were, it shows just how amoral -- not immoral, meaning possessed of bad guidance; but amoral, possessed of none at all -- people are becoming. "Oh, it's OK for me to kill this person for no reason whatever just because my government tells me it's OK." Try to come up with the answer to that one on your own -- violating another's right to living is among the most damnable things I can imagine. Remember Macbeth and his wife -- "Out, damned spot! Out, I say!" Even if you don't believe in God, an afterlife, or some form of punishment or reward for mortal deeds, that tells you something about the guilt you have to live with after infringing on another.
Thank you for asking this question. I haven't been this good and fired up in a long time. And please, don't be serious about it... Please tell me you asked the question just to hear nutjobs like me tirade for a while. I can live with humiliation.

Certainly not. If murder was legalized it would be like living in the old west. People would be getting in gun fights, blowing each others heads clean off and there would be no order. There would be serial rapists coming out of the wood work to find victims to attack rape and mutilate. It would be like living in hell. Have you gone mad?
