Well the Americans love POWER, they cant get enough of it. As long as others are helping them like us Brits then they are happy. Dont think they could do it themselves. I think we should let the Americas carry on with what they started on their OWN. Pull all British troops out and send them home.

A war is usually defined as a conflict between countries or states, such as was the case when American-led forces invaded Iraq.
US vs Iraq, no peacekeepers
Since the country of Iraq was toppled, and a new government put in place because of a victory, the war is thus over.
US vs Iraq, Iraq loses, peacekeepers show up to protect the new government
An insurgency starts, and is not made of a delineated state (can be debated, concerning Iran and Saudi Arabia, but that's a different discussion), so therefore is not a war, but a schism between the police (government and peacekeepers) and people who are breaking the law (insurgents). As the peacekeepers are essentially police, they do die at the hands of the insurgents, just as criminals in the US or Britain can get a handgun or other weapon and shoot an officer.

the defense force would not pick only any in a position-bodied human beings anymore. maximum branches have an similar difficulty: they're overstaffed, yet have some costs (or MOSes if you're no longer military) that are undermanned. the defense force needs experienced infantrymen and sailors, and those skills are continually replacing. there is countless in a position-bodied human beings accessible that, truly, the defense force can't do some thing with except grant a roof over their head and three sq. food an afternoon. and everyone we upload to the defense force is a few million money the authorities would not ought to spend on different factors of the defense force. that is somewhat stupid even as someone buys a group of ribbons for his or her automobile and spends all their time bragging about how supportive they're. yet, given the alternative between having them experience like they're doing some thing significant, and really having them connect, 9 cases out of ten the first is dazzling. also, each and every from time to time the guy that places all those stickers on his automobile supplies a number of his richly deserved funds to the defense force, or works on civil provider or defense force contracts. Which help the defense force a hell of significantly better than them truly serving may.

The US and other countries within the US efforts in Iraq, was never planned and decided on any premise of not engaging with the opposition.
Another point is peacekeeping troop have been killed many times, in countries that they are serving in. It is only prudent to make yourself war ready at all cost.

DORY is spot on, you wont be told that in mainstream media, you wont hear the truth in mainstream media, how can you. If you heard the truth about everything you would have few wars, little poverty... Because we as human beings want to help each other, bu there is a minority with all the power an dmoney who just want to get more power and money, and with power and money you can influance anything, from the media to how countries are run.

Because it is sectarian violence. Technically the soldiers are there to help the fledgling Iraqi gov. stop sunni's and shi'ites blowing each other up. At the end the Iraqi gov will be so grateful that they will hand out rebuilding contracts to U.S. and U.K. companies + the oil of course.
