i wanted my house checked 4 lead n the landlord wants to come paint i told him to let them check before he enters cause i have a child n it needs 2 b checked he says he comin in my house n paint n i cant stop him i think he no its lead in here n he want to cover up he told me that black people is so ungreatful just cuz i wanna b safe then sorry what should i do

We all know that we are a very important part of the society then why dont we have our own representatives to present our point of view in the government? I am not asking for power i am asking the government to lend me an ear.

My ex-husband is an abusive addict who, quite frankly, I more than a bit frightened of. I would like to get a restraining order against him to proctect both me and my son. However, I was told by the DA's office that they must have an address to serve him. He is homeless, so I cannot provide them an address. Does this mean that I am out of luck? Is there any way around this? Seems like an awful loophole in the system.

As everyone is probably by now aware, Friday, February 2, 2007 marks the release of the IPCC's political document: Assessment Report 4, Summary for Policymakers. The media seem to be operating under the misapprehension this is equivalent to the release of IPCC Working Group I Contribution to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Fourth Assessment Report: Climate Change 2007: The Physical Science Basis -- this is regrettably neither true nor even close to the truth.

Bizarrely, the actual report will be retained for another three months to facilitate editing -- to suit the summary! IPCC procedures state that: Changes (other than grammatical or minor editorial changes) made after acceptance by the Working Group or the Panel shall be those necessary to ensure consistency with the Summary for Policymakers or the Overview Chapter (Appendix A to the Principles Governing IPCC Work, p4/15) -- this is surely unacceptable and would not be tolerated in virtually any other field.

With all of the war profiteering and black market trade of oil in Iraq, how on Earth could Iraqi's think Republicans are anything other than common criminals?
