I personally think that there shouldn't really be any law about abortion after the second trimester, since the baby is developed enough that they could possibly live with machine assistance. Also, I also personally believe that it should be entirely up to the mother of the baby. Only she knows her circumstances and only she can make that decision. If the baby endangers her life, that should be allowed, if we MUST have abortion laws (which we really shouldn't, Roe v. Wade everyone!!!) and also if there is an issue with the baby that would not let it live life to the fullest. Example, severe retardation.

It is up to whoever is having the child. I don't think there is a wrong side, except for the opposite side you are choosing. There should never be a law opposing abortion because it is right in some situations, example:
If the women's' life is in danger
If the girl has 10 kids already and is living off of the money I work so hard for that goes to the government. ...Hey! I also pay for birth control pills, I think they should use them!
If the women was rapped...but now they have a morning after pill for that sort of thing.
I think killing a baby is wrong, but people can be stupid and make the wrong decisions. There should always be a back up for people being ignorant, so the population will be somewhat under control.

I'm prochoice, because even if you outlaw abortion, it's still going to happen. And what's worse is the fact that not only would a lot of fetuses die, but so would a lot of the women carrying them. Whenever abortions aren't safe and legal, desperate women will resort to all sorts of means that can be harmful. Many years ago, I was undecided on the abortion issue. That changed when I saw a documentary in which there was an Ethiopian woman who died after her uterus was punctured in an illegal abortion procedure. If we can't save all of the fetuses, we should at least try to save the women who are carrying them.

Wow, I hope you know what kind of firestorm that you are inviting on yourself by asking this question! Although I think it's one of the most important moral debates our country has ever known - maybe even more important than the debate over slavery. My answer is this: Life begins at conception. This is a biological fact, not an opinion. When the sperm and the egg meet, within minutes, those cells begin to replicate, and divide. Anything that can replicate and divide itself is a living organism. Anything that causes that living organism to stop replicating and dividing - KILLS it. This goes for a tree or a dog, as much as it does a human embryo. Abortion is the cessation of life for that forming embryo and/or fetus. Again, this is a fact, not an opinion. When the medical team goes into the uterus, and ends the replication and division process, they use nice terms like "terminatiing a pregnancy", or "removal of fetal tissue" - The fact is, it kills the embryo or fetus. - Again, this is fact, not opinion. The moral question comes in on whether one human being has the right to take another human being's life. The moral and right answer to this is clearly NO! It is not morally right, and it is against the law for me to go across the street and murder my neighbor, but it's O.K. to end the life of a helpless embryo, or fetus, who, unlike my neighbor across the street, has no voice, and has no way to defend itself. The bible clearly states (and by the way, that IS indeed where we get our laws from in this nation - sorry to all you liberals who don't want to hear this - it is TRUE) - that "Thou shall not commit murder." Murder is the willful taking of another human being's life without consent. This means abortion is murder. Pro-choice isn't really pro"choice" at all. Pro-choice means "if you want it to be, you can be pro-death" - That's not what the bible, or our law states for humans who have already been born - why is it different for a human being who hasn't been born? IT IS STILL A HUMAN BEING - AND MURDER IS WRONG!! If a woman finds herself in a place that she is in an unexpected, and unwanted pregnancy, it IS hard. No doubt about it. But the most selfish and morally wrong thing that you can do is abort the baby. If you canot take care of yourself, or your infant, SEEK HELP! There a hundreds of organizations that will help you when you need it!! If nothing else, go to your local church congregation, and ask to see the pastor! He or she will at least refer you to someone who cares, and can help. Give the baby to a loving couple who desperately wants to have a child, and cannot, and then move on with your life. 9 months of pregnancy is NOTHING in comparison to LIFETIME of guilt and shame over what your conscience knows to be wrong! Ask anyone who's ever had an abortion whether I'm telling the truth or not! Please! My best friend had an abortion while we were in college, and she will never forgive herself for what she did. - Not to mention, abortion can cause total infertility. Again, this is fact, not opinion. Love your baby, love yourself, love God, and give LIFE not DEATH! For those of you out there who have had an abortion - forgiveness for yourself is available - and I do not condemn you. I feel for you, and pray that your hurting soul will be healed, and that you will know the compassionate, forgiving arms of Jesus.

Pro-life. Why would anyone want to murder an innocent little baby that hasn't harmed a soul? This is God's position and is substantiated in the Ten Commandments as "Thou shall not murder." Pro-choice, or what some are now referring to as reproductive rights, is simply Satanic. Again, why are these people so hellbent on murdering innocent little babies who haven't harmed a soul? Why are these people choosing to stand with Satan?
Instead of simply protesting abortions what we must have is a law that says "if you are a health care professional, a layperson or a parent involved in abortion then you will be tried for capital murder." Until then Satan will keep on keeping on!
Feel free to copy this and pass it on.

The decision should be totally up to the woman who is pregnant. It's her right to make decisions regarding her body and health.
As for "prolife" and "prochoice"...those groups shouldn't even exist! It's nobody else's decision or business except the woman. Period.

this can be tricky. wow.
see there are few kinds of people.
the people who plan to have kids
the people who are sluts and just stick it anywhere/anytime with whoever
or there are rape victims.
obviously i dont need to get into it with the people who plan but the stick it anywhere, anytime with whoever people shouldnt get abortions? why kill a baby, something that was not brought onto this earth with any say, just by 2 inconnsiderate assholes who obviously didnt take the time to just wrap it up or take the extra few steps to becareful.
Rape victims: some people who have been raped and gotten pregnant have abortions because the thought of a "rape baby" tears them up inside, but again. its not the babys fault... or hers for that matter, but what happened, happened and there are other ways to go about it besides abortion... have the kid but put it up for adoption so one of the many thousands of parents who cant concieve can have a bundle of joy! dont take an inncoient life away...
there are so many thoughts in my head now i cant even type.
but i hope you get the point. :))
BUT IN THE END... its what the woman wants for her and her life...

morally it is wrong. based on my moral beliefs. no one dies for my mistake. children die because of the poor judgement of selfish people. if people would just make better decisions about sex. and lost in all the prochoice talk is the man whom created half of this life. make better life choices and this problem will be virtually eliminated. wear protection.
