There are very few men and women in America who believe the Iraq war is not worthy of debate. They are the Republican Members of the United States Senate. Today, they did our country a grave disservice.

Republicans in the Senate voted to tie the hands of Congress and block a debate on the war in Iraq. By voting against a real debate on Iraq, Republicans voted in favor of the President's plan to escalate the war. Numerous Republican Senators are on the record opposing this escalation. Do these Republicans stand with the President or do they stand with the American people?

Yet again we have another friendly fire incident in Iraq!!! has anybody seen and heard the full tape? There was NO confirmation that there was NO friendlies in the area where the P-51s were, both pilots thought they saw "orange panals" which they then changed to "orange rockets" which is the friendly colour! there were 4 vehichles in a convy evenly spaced. Is it me or would that not ring alarm bells saying that they are friendlies??


Yet again the Americans have killed a Brit in a war zone! I now think it is time to call ALL OUR FORCES HOME, and let the Americans do it on their own. This can do no good in relations with them.

In Russia 18 year olds are not allowed to go for actual combat in Chechnya, usually they don't send them until age 21. I'm certainly not defending Russia, but I just don't understand why we allow an unexperienced 18 year old to be sent into the "meat grinder."

I was just looking for some input as to what you think of the new propsed budget, some of it's highlights are a $284 billion defeict. $78 billion cut from medicare and medicade, and and increase of over $80 billion in Pentagon spending (this is spearate from the moneis allocated for the war in Iraq).

What are your thoughts, and do you believe this is what is best for the American people?

If a person doesnt feel respected then they do not control part of their life that they feel a need to control. (This is different in women, then it is acknowledgement) Is the reason for all war an absence of respect? It seems to hit the people who can least afford it the most -- those with the fewest disposable resources. Of course free will comes into play. But is the government really doing anybody a favor to approve all these casinos popping up all over the place?
