So Bush has proposed the new budget.?

I was just looking for some input as to what you think of the new propsed budget, some of it's highlights are a $284 billion defeict. $78 billion cut from medicare and medicade, and and increase of over $80 billion in Pentagon spending (this is spearate from the moneis allocated for the war in Iraq).

What are your thoughts, and do you believe this is what is best for the American people?

The Medicaid and Medicare cuts will never pass through a Democratic Congress, and they are deplorable at a time when baby boomers are getting ready to retire. The major problem with cutting Medicaid is that you don't save any omney, you just pass the cost down to the state govt. Remember when Clinton, Newt, and Dole were in office and the govt. shut down, twice if I remember right, because the Pres. and Congress could not agree on a budget. Get ready for more of the same.

for the reason that we are spending about 2 hundred billion a year on Iraq we gained't have adequate money to shop our commitments to seniors who've paid into medicare all their lives or advance guidance, restoration our crumbling highways and bridges, or implement the environmental guidelines that Congress exceeded.

I like the idea of cutting money from medicade, and I believe that that pentagon should not be limited to spending. They do protect us. As far as the defeict, Oh well lets stop sending money to these third world toliets. like Africa and spend it here. Buy a red razor and send money to aids in africa. Please. If they would just stop screwing everything that moves there problem would be solved.
