We arent paying any more that we used to pay in peacetime. The normal prewar budget was $330 billion, and adjusting for inflation, the budget is the same.
Oh, and the entire US budget is 12 trillion, which means the military budget is only 3-4% of the entire budget.

We wouldnt have gone over there in the first place if the UN hadnt drafted a resolution and countries like Britain, France, and Russia giving US false information.
As we have found out a short while ago, we had apsolutely no intelligence operatives in Iraq before the war, we relied solely on other countries for intelligence.

why should i pay taxes for disabled people in the USA and why should i pay for children in public school:
cause i'm not disabled
and i don't want kids of my own
so you see paying taxes for the military is something that we americans do because it is considered right for our country and for helping other countries.
it's all much bigger than just one person's ideals it's about the future

The answer is that "They should NOT."

If citizens phoned and wrote letters and sent emails -- I mean as in EVERY TWO OR THREE DAYS -- then Congress would simply be forced to end the "war."

People, it's OUR responsibility to scream endlessly until Congress goes back to allocating OUR tax dollars where we tell 'em to.

Education. Alternative Energy Research. Affordable Health Care.

Sure let's just pull out of Iraq. So millions of Sunnis can die at the hands of the Shi'ites. And I'm sure that after we leave the terrorist will stop fighting and trying to come to America.
Here or there we are at war. Time to wake up.

Um, I don't know, based on what I've been hearing for the last couple of years. Iraqis have been killing Iraqis. The only people our soldiers have killed are the ones shooting at them. Did I miss something?

Why do I have to pay for crack hos and welfare slackers to live a life better than a lot of working people?

The WMDs were there. They have evidence of them being removed from the country because we gave them months and months to move them before we attacked.

If you were a drug dealer, and you knew that the police were going to raid your house, wouldn't you get rid of the drugs? Do you think the terrorists aren't that smart?
