I would recommend that you get an immigration consultant (does not cost as much as a lawyer). Lawyers are only necessary if you have an actual legal issue that needs to be resolved. In your case you simply need somebody who can make sure that your paperwork is complete and submitted properly.

well he have to be around for you to be able to do that...Because he is the one that have to make the petition for you...I know that after you get the marriage certificate that will be in 30 days after you get marry...So you can do it just right after that...You need to send the original so he have to file the petition...Then you will get a work permise in about 3 months later after you submit the petition...After that you hav to wait about 6-9 motnths for the green card...But for the green card interview he should need to be present unless the Ins Office let you go byyourself because he is away...But that is what you need to find out in their office or with an lawyer there is where I got lost I can't tell how that will work...Good luck!!! everything you can show up by yourself in the INS office but about the interview for the green C I am not sure about that...They always want thehusband there present...

You can apply immediately after your wedding, but must do so before 90 days, assuming that you are already in the US on a fiancee visa.
Then they schedule you for this and that - DON'T miss those appointments.
Good Luck

Hello
You can apply as soon as yo get married in civil ceremony. You may want to prepare beforehand other documents, that neccessary for application.
It includes,
1.Affidavit of support and all related tax copies, Make sure you meet poverty guidelines. Yo might need a co-sponsor.
2. Evidence of his citizenship, (passport preferably).
3. Yo birth certificate, passport, Visas to us and so on.
Since he will be stationed overseas, as a spouse if US Military, you will be allowed to go to interview alone. That can make it more difficult, so prepare photoes, something from his family/relatives, have a good story hhoew you met and so on.

As soon as possible. Do some research and get informed of what you need to file or get a lawyer ( expensive). You will need to wait for you marriage certificate to send everything to USCIS. Ask how long it will take to get your marriage certificate, it tool me 3 weeks to get it, my girlfriend, who married in MD, got it right away.
