And if so, how come? Is it to prevent hysteria (an understandable situation if so) but what I, we don't understand is why an unsuccessful attempt wouldn't be front page news if not only to promote the "good" and success behind the FBI, CIA, NSA, the Patriot Act and such. I am not one to believe in conspiracies but I find it hard to believe that there has not been another attempt on US soil after September 11. I am thankful for no such attacks and love my country but are we being kept in the dark? This was actually dinner conversation initiated by my 16 year old daughter after what she called a "heated debate" in her modern history class.

Bush-loyalist so-called conservatives, what was it your ideology stood for again? OOH yes, it was fiscal responsibility, having a limited/small government, and moral values. Why are you too thick-headed to realize that Bush and his cabinet has abandoned all that?
Fiscal Responsibility-Bush NEVER stops to think of better ways to conserve money. He spends "like a liberal" as some put it.
A Limited/Small Government-Bush is the closest U.S. president to becoming a dictator that this nation has ever had. His legislation, which directly conflicts with the Constitution's Habeas Corpus, gives him the right to apprehend anyone and hold them without any soon trial. Citizens can be arrested depending on what they say, despite the 1st Amendment. That is the kind of thing dictators are able to do. You can't deny that. Then with the illegal warrentless wire-tapping; it was meant to be kept secret but fortunately the American people found out. It broke the FISA laws and moreover the 4th Amendment.

....what we broke?
So now Pelosi and Bush, all buddy buddy. Pelosi tells Bush; "You've got to make it loud & clear to the Iraqi people that their government has got to perform." She means they need better security. Maliki asked for better weapons. He claims he can bring about better security in '6 mos.' if US acquiesces. The request is not forrthcoming. Bush has better plan. We can't "get the job done" in 6 months, he muses. He steps in and promises 21,000 plus more soldiers. Also a U.S. General suggests using "mercenaries" already in Iraq now protecting the contractors(there are between 30,000 and 50,000 (depending on which source you believe) , while U.S. troops are left to protect themselves.

But tens of thousands of innocents have already died.
It's called "divide and conquer." We all learned that tactic while were in school. Sunni against Shiite, insurgents against factions, everyone against everyone else.
Let them destroy each other.
Isn't that the real plan?

The US imports 10,400,000 barrels of oil per day
http://www.nationmaster.com/country/us-united-states/ene-energy
The cost of the Iraq war is $363.7 billion over 4 years (1460 days)
http://nationalpriorities.org/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=182
The average military subsidy is thus approximately $23.95 per barrel of imported oil. If consumers paid this price at the gas pump rather than through taxes, alternative energy sources would be more competitive. Should consumers pay the true cost for oil?

Constitutional Federalism

President Clinton is the first president in American history to deny that the Constitution limits the powers of the federal government. The Clinton White House has sought to federalize health care, crime fighting, environmental protection, and education. It has also tried to thwart any effort to downsize federal agencies and programs. Although the Washington press corps has dutifully scrutinized the fledgling efforts of the 104th Congress to breathe life into the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution, which affirms that the federal government has only limited powers, the president's efforts to expand federal power have received scant attention from a Tenth Amendment perspective. By his official conduct as president, Clinton has made it clear that he believes there is no area of human activity that is beyond the redistributive or regulatory reach of the federal government and that the state governments essentially operate at the sufferance of the national government. Such a view contravenes the text, history, and structure of our Constitution.

Was told at time of expungment, by judge and lawyer, that it was as if it never happened. Yet, later found no firearms allowed. Ok! For employment purposes only. So they change wording on applications to make you out to be a liar if you say you've never had a record or even plead guilty or no contest. And no acceptance of application for employment with any law enforcement dept.. Not even as maintanence. What's the purpose of going through the legal steps and paying the fees if these questions are allowed to be asked on applications for employment. Does ones past have to haunt them for the rest of their life reguardless?

So, I'm watching COPS and at the end, the conversation goes "132 and Bush, I've got him at gunpoint," then the dispatcher responds "OK 132 & Bush, cover is code three."

Then the cop says something back that causes the dispatcher to say "OK, cover is still code 3."

What I want to know is: What does the cop say?

And is there any information on the web about this incident?
