Absolutely! In fact that is one of my top 5 issues. Many believe that our health care system is the best and they always say that it is because people come here to get it. Well those people that come here can afford it and that's the problem with our system.
It's too expensive to provide preventative medicine. Most of the dollars, that actually go toward patient care, are spent at the end of a persons life and not spent to keep people healthy. Take a look at the cost of health care systems throughout the world, in relation to percentage of GDP, and you will be amazed by how much we pay for a system that doesn't cover the basic needs of everyone.

We need something. But I hesitate having the government in control of this.
Cost of health care in this country has become expensive. I feel for the children and the elderly and the disable that cannot get the health care they need.
I had 3 major surgeries on my hip this past year. Thank goodness I have insurance because the cost have been staggering, reaching half million.

The average American, who is uninformed, supports universal health care because it sounds like a good idea. What they don't realize is that the quality of health care goes down when it is government controlled. That's a fact. Hillary will talk about this until she's blue in the face because it appeals to the masses. However, many of our young voters today don't realize that she has already failed at this once, back when Bill was in office. It's going nowhere....

No. There are much better ways to solve problems inside our health care system. I really dont wish to pay for everyone else's health insurance. The government is inefficeint. Do we really want it in charge of this? I pay too much in taxes now, and cant imagine the tax rate if health care were to be provided by the federal system. Many people dont have car insurance, and its not my job to provide it for them, is it? Many people dont own thier own house, so do we need the government to buy every one a house? They government has mismanaged social security, and the cost of the prescription drug plan for seniors has skyrocketed. Government can only worsen the problem.

I would vote for it if it was very strictly stuctured in a way where everyone benefited equally from it, unfortunately though just like in socialism human fraility gets in the way of it and our get rich society would probally ruin it and somebody would profit from it.Ideally I would love to be able to see a homeless wo/man go to a doctor and be treated just like any other social security card carrying person could. So unless it was run by a monk who has denounced all worldly possesions and they live a cloistered life with no ties to the outside world I would have to say no I wouldn't vote for it.

Possibly, but I'd want to know a lot more about what he or she stands for. Lot of narrow-minded people out there who will cast their vote for a poor candidate just because of one position.

No. We've already elected several who promised universal health care. This is simply an election ploy. It will never happen so why waste a good vote. BTW, Hillary has already failed on health care once.

Yes. If we can spend half a trillion on a war we didn't need and nearly all the world opposed, we can spend a few hundred billion on health care for everyone.

It would depend on how they plan to do it. I've seen some plans that end up being cheaper for the taxpayer than our existing system.
