This government goes on about the protecting enviroment ,then some bright spark comes up with building houses on green belt in the UK.
apparently we have a housing shortage.
I know we need more houses but we still need to protect the enviroment and i don't know if this is the right way to go!

I know it's been like this for awhile with a two party system but when did Republicans start hating Democrats and vice versa? I know it's not that extreme but when did we stop working together for a common soultion and goal for a better America? Where are all these politicians with an honest and why aren't they reaching out to the general American public? What can we do to understand everyones views? Do you ever judge someone when they tell you they are Rebulican, Democrat, or even another party (or Independent)?
Just to make sure no one gets upset: I'm not claiming one party is better than the other or one party caused this or anything?
It'd be great to hear many different views.
Thank you!

I know being a cop isn't about money and more about helping people. However, at the end of the day I want to have money to put food on the table and a roof over my family's head. NYPD website says that the average 1-2 years you are making in the low 30's. This I am sure is the base pay.

My question is, realistically speaking what can I expect to bring home pretax with all shift differental, holiday and overtime pay yearly. Is shooting for 50k not attainable? If anyone has recently completed their 1st or 2nd year and would care to share the information, it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

this question is in referance to this quote by George W. Bush last night -"Tonight I ask the Congress to authorize an increase in the size of our active Army and Marine Corps by 92,000 in the next five years."

Is he asking for a draft? That's what I got from it? Otherwise why would he ask for them to authorize more personal when we have a shortage of people willing to go?

How do you expect real American men (those who don't sit down while peeing like Liberal men) to support Hillary Clinton in sufficient numbers to make her a viable candidate? What I mean is this--THE VAST MAJORITY of men think that if Hillary can't even satisfy one, old, broken-down, gray haired perve, who the Hell is she to think that we could respect her?

You Libs live in a fantasy world and need a reality check. Maybe that's why Republicans have controlled the White House 28 of the last 36 years.

On March 18, 2002, Jack Abramoff told a friend, known as Octagon1, that "I was sitting with Karl Rove, Bush's top advisor, at the NCAA basketball game, discussing Israel when (your) email came in. I showed it to him. It seems that the President was very sad to have to come out negatively regarding Israel but that they needed to mollify the Arabs for the upcoming war on Iraq. That did not seem to work anyway. Bush seems to love Sharon and Israel, and thinks Arabfat (sic) is nothing but a liar. I thought I'd pass that on."

This was a year before any war actually happened and even before Bush was talking about exhausting diplomacy first.

I don't know about the rest of the public ( my fellow citizens) but i firmly believe that the United States Gov't is proving to be a Totalitarian Gov't. Just look up what the definition of Totalitarianism is and you will agree. There was a day when you could express yourself under the Right to free speech, but that day is long gone. I just read in the paper today how a 81 yr. old man was harrassed by the Secret Service for making comments about the Gov't and Bush. I refer to Bush as a person not the President because in my view a President acts on the will of his people not for his own personal gain. Now this gentlemen who has been writing political based opinions for the last decade used his right to free speech. One year prior he was interrogated by the FBI for writing a controversial letter to the local newspaper stating that Bush should be un-seated. This is the beginning of this horror story.

I know that sounds weird. But my mom in law sends stuff like: "things every American should know!" And then it will go on to say something wonderful about the soldiers in Iraq and their loving families or it will spin some aspect of the democratic party. Its complete brainwashing material. As if the fact that a soldier has a loving story that makes the war in Iraq justified! Anyway I'm not looking for the equivalent in ill conceived democratic propaganda, just something to send back as a rebuttal. Where can I get some of that or get on a list? Moveon.org?

I am dating a wonderful girl from Russia, however her visa expires soon. She's already been granted one extension, so another request will likely be denied. Marriage is out of the question at this time.

Are there any non-marriage loopholes that she may look into? Work status, enroll in school, open a business, purchase property, or some other means of remaining here?

If not, perhaps someone has some advice on how to ensure the approval of another request to extend her visa?

Thank you very much in advance!

I don't necessarily mean "least experienced".

For example, GWB was elected twice as governor of Texas. He did not serve both terms, naturally, but he was re-elected.

This is not a commentary on the current administration or its' qualifications (or percieved lack thereof). I'm just curious if a successful President must start off on a more local level and pay his dues, so to speak.

Why do they hate freedom of speech unless they agree with what's said?
Why do they hate war, but love abortion?
