My belief is that the United States is merging into a Totalitarian leadership.?

I don't know about the rest of the public ( my fellow citizens) but i firmly believe that the United States Gov't is proving to be a Totalitarian Gov't. Just look up what the definition of Totalitarianism is and you will agree. There was a day when you could express yourself under the Right to free speech, but that day is long gone. I just read in the paper today how a 81 yr. old man was harrassed by the Secret Service for making comments about the Gov't and Bush. I refer to Bush as a person not the President because in my view a President acts on the will of his people not for his own personal gain. Now this gentlemen who has been writing political based opinions for the last decade used his right to free speech. One year prior he was interrogated by the FBI for writing a controversial letter to the local newspaper stating that Bush should be un-seated. This is the beginning of this horror story.

If you ever have seen The Fahrenheit 911 video you will see a part in that documentary that shows a group who met weekly and talked about current conditions of the United States, well they had a undercover officer assigned by Homeland Security to infiltrate the group and try to build a case against those who participated in the meetings. What the hell is this, is the Gov't suppressing people who talk against it and want reform. Obviously so and it will not end it will get worse. The Gov't was established to provide Liberty and Democracy for the People and now the only thing we have left is a Gov't that will shut you down and jail you when you don't like the way it is being run. I ask all of my Fellow Americans to Stand with me and freely reply to this. This is how you express your right to Free Speech. I will express my beliefs. I believe Bush over any and all Presidents out their should be impeached and charged with War crimes. He is sending our Troops to be killed for his own purpose

and that is Oil. Wake up people his family are Oil Tycoons and besides Iran, Iraq has alot of the Black Gold too. Speaking of Iran well guess what according to the press the United States is possibly preparing for an Attack against Iran. The gov't just sent another Aircraft Carrier off the coast of Iran and are observing the Country intently for any potential threat. Well that is all good but if we were more concerned about our Country and the way the people are being treated here most would say what the heck do we have any right installing our beliefs there when our country itself in in a state of disarray. I am ranting about this but it truly sickens me to know we are able minded individuals most with High School and College educations and we just sit back and allow a gov't to roll over on us like we do not matter. Just remember who pays the price later if we don't act now.

This letter is an attempt to consolidate our differences as Citizens and correct all the wrongs in our Country. We are taxed on almost everything now and some of it would be classified as double-taxation ie;( inheritance tax, property tax and a few more) well I pay my taxes and to think that one day that the money I save that was taxed already due to it coming from my weekly paycheck will be passed on to my kids one day and then they will have to pay a tax on that ( inheritance tax ) is wrong. You know the funny part the gov't keeps crying about fixing the federal budget. how the hell can they fix it when they keep sending Billions of dollars of our hard earned sweat ladened money to foreign countries. I can tell you that I was disabled on the job and the employer never called me again when i asked for help. I went to my state social service office to apply for help and was put through a rigorous process. Well i was disabled for almost 3 months and i did not get one bit of help from

and then finally 2 months in i was approved for temporary medical aid to determine what the problem was. Well I went to the doctor and he labeled me disabled for another month. I went to the state to have them determine what kind of help i was eligible for and they set a day to meet with the social worker. The meeting was for Jan. 5 of this year and I was to see the doctor for an evaluation on the 4th and he approved me to go back to work. Well on the 5th I reported this to the social worker and was denied any help because i could go back to work. Well how about the 3 months that I needed the help all of my bills and since I had no insurance my medical bills on top of that. Can you see why I'm pissed. I pay taxes most of my life and had somehting detrimental happen to me on the job and when i thought I would get help. I did not!!!!! Where is my tax money going if it is not going to help me in my time of need?

Congrats Chris, You finally got that off your chest. We know it's been bothering you for a long time.
That one about the eighty-one year old man, if it's the same one that I read about. He was investigated for suggesting that the president should be killed. They determined that he was a harmless old coot. Your word "harrassed " is far from accurate.
The president will be out of office in two years. Totalitarians don't hold elections unless they know that they'll win by 99%. Saddam held an election like that, just for the show.

Seems like some of these republicans are really eager for a Totalitarian leadership..I have notice this happening for years and I am concerned but what can I actually do?And no I am not a Dem or Republican either(I'm INDEPENDENT)and I think both parties are pretty corrupt.. The Dem's just seem to be more concerned with the people and republicans seem to just want money/greed and stupidity along with zealous religion to rein.
