country from what I am reading. If that is so true how come the republicans controlled congress for the past eleven years and all of government for the past six. Wouldn't that imply the damage is being done by the republicans?

Ok, I am not rich by any means, I work paycheck to paycheck like most other Americans, but I have a huge problem with people wanting to punish the rich just because they work hard and are successful. The richest Americans already pay around 95% (I think its 95 it might be 93%) of all income taxes? What should they be paying?

And yes that is fact you can find it on the IRS website.

What is your definition of being close-minded? All things being relative (typical liberal philosophy) wouldn't this person's definition of close-mindedness be applied to all liberals as well as conservatives?

Truely "open-minded" would require accepting two opposing viewpoints simultaniously and equally.

I reported domestic violence against my husband. We fought and he hit my face, I can't hear properly now.
However, I'm very suprise that they took him to jail.
I bailed him out and he have to go to court on Jan 17.
I receive the letter stating that it's him against the people of Illinois, and I am as the witness.
I remember I do not wish to press charge against him and do not sign any paperwork.
Police just ask me various info like dob, ph, etc.
What should I do? do I need to appear in court?
I mean, we did had argumeent and he did hit me, but I do not wish him go to jail and we want to work the marriage out for the sake of our son.
What should i do? oh yah, this is in Illinois.

It was my first job out of college, so when something didn't feel right, I thought it was just me, however, I have recently found out that this company not only scams their employees out of their paychecks, but they scam customers. They're called Cambridge/ Empire/ and Manchester Who's Who, and they change their name and location often. When I worked there, they were based in a nice office building in Uniondale, (Long Island) NY. I recently heard the people in management positions don't even use their real names. The business claims to be a well-known and respected networking tool for business professionals. They have already been reported to the Better Business Bureau, and the complaints are staggering. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is proposing a health
care bill that will offer insurance for all children residing
in the state. Officials familiar with the proposal say it will

I have seen several people talking about taxes on those making more than $500,000 a year and calling it "stealing". WTF? So it is okay for middle class people to be taxed at 30%, but if we ask for an increase in taxes on wealthy Americans, it is stealing? The American dream has become an American nightmare, where people only care about the well-being of themselves and could care less about less fortunate Americans. Let me horde a little more money for myself while less fortunate people are left out to dry. I would never wish evil on anyone, but some of you rich f**kers are going to end up in a wheelchair someday for being so selfish, and then you will see that not everyone lives in mansions and country clubs. It is truly sad.


p.s. I work with developmentally disabled adults and children and am a proud member of the democratic party.

I have been separated with my wife since July, 2006. Our official date of divorce is Jan 5, 2007. I have met a nice woman online and we are madly in love.
