This doesn't seem all that far-fetched to me. I'm wondering if it will work with one of the buffing attachments. Please, only answere if you have first hand experience with this.

I've used a dremel and Jeweler's Rouge to polish metals. I think it would work but with boots be sure not to get the speed up too high or you could melt or burn the material. Of course don't use rouge but whatever compound you normally use for your boots.

Yes, it works, but it is way too small. A good shoe shine brush is fast and creates an acceptable shine on a pair of combat boots.

It is a bit small, might take a while. Try a buffing attachment for a drill
