I have noticed an odd thing. A tuberculosis bacillus does not know whether the lung it is in is documented or not. And it does not care whether it goes to a lung which is documented or not. The same seems to be true of other viruses, germs, and parasitic diseases. So, thank you very much, but I would like to have anybody who might have such conditions (child or adult) have diagnosis and treatment available whether they can pay for it or not, not particularly to benefit them, but to protect me and my family.

protecting children from irresponsible parents would that not be a case for dept of human services. That is neglect and they deserve to be taken away away. The more dysfunctional the family, means the more dysfunctional the parents are. Controlling other children is the norm of the this behavior means a parent brings a sense of power (control) to the child; A child cannot predict or control his parents but he can control other (smaller or less physically strong) children. Children. become useful objects onto which the parent can freely displace their own aggression. Adults continues to make children feel guilty about what happened, having been encouraged by their parents believe they were responsible. Later, the child may add "...and when I grow up I am going to punish bad people in the way I've been punished". Well, it never did me any harm. This line of reasoning has also failed to make a crucial distinction: no person can ever be bad; it is their behavior which is bad. We have control over our behavior and can modify our behavior at will, but we cannot change the person we are. Childern feel ashamed of what happened, having been encouraged by the abuser to believe that they were responsible rather than that the abuser was responsible. Children efforts to avoid thoughts, feelings or conversations associated with the trauma. We grow up and repeat what they did to us. If all you have ever known is abuse, that is the only way you know how to behave. Human beings do not automatically know what is right and what is wrong; we have to learn it.

Totally for it, regardless of the thumbs down I may get, because children shouldnt have to pay for the mistakes of their parents and because regardless of how many disagree, it will happen, this bill will be passed. I live in California where we have one of the highest illegal immigrant rates, but Im not going to be all angry and bitter like some folks here, lets face it, theyre already here, mass deportation will not happen anytime soon, so why not protect this kids and ours from harmful diseases that can be spread all because we(you) feel we need to get back at the kids for the fact that their parents brought them here by force or they were born into a country their parents are illegally in?!

I am all for the gov. helping out with health insurance. But I do agree that the legal citizens need to be taken care of first. I am all for "LEGAL" immigration...but sooner or later we are going to have to put our foot down and do everything we can to stop the illegal kind.....and this is part of it.

In the long run, any policy that doesn't discourage illegals from coming here, staying here, and having kids here is a net negative.
While its nice for all kids to receive medical care, and immunizations, who is supposed to pay for this largesse?
My solution? Give the kids their shots, and then deport the whole family~!
Thank you, come again!

Its a clarion call to all l the anchor baby bloated mexican "mares" to come a running to California to shoot out there spawn. My hope is that since you can't say how many people will be eligible for this coverage, it will be un constitutionally vague and be overturned. No amount of study could accurately say with certainty the numbers of rabbits will show up.

I'm against it.
It's not the state's job to do this.
It will bankrupt the state.
I thought getting rid of such mismanagement was the reason Grey Davis was recalled in the first place.

I am for protecting children from irresponsible parents...even illegals.
Should a sick child be denied health care because mom and dad are law breaking citizens of Canada? NO. Handle your boarder and you won't have to worry about illegal children...or lock their as.s.es up when they go the hospital instead of treating.
I'm sorry. Hate illegals but hate children dying or suffering more...what can I say...patch 'em up and then deport them and their family.
