Fox News said Saddam wrote a letter telling people to end the resistance and dont be mad at the Americans, but when i read the news from the region the translated comments say he told them to Unite in order to Resist the Occupation even harder.

Why does it matter if the trial was unfair? He was guilty and was punished. The path to the outcome does not mater, the ends justify the means. He died for his sins/crimes.

Please stick to the point in your answer and don't be defensive by saying stuff like "Because they are jealous of us ", "We are No. 1 power and that intemidates them", "I wounder why though we have been helping other nations...", and the likes.

I don` t belive killing is the right way to deal with any wrongfull person. A life sentance with out parole would of been grand. What kind of world do we live in. And what are we showing our youngsters killing is RIGHT. Bush is evil and doing this war for the wrong reasons. The world is going to end because of bush. war is going to kill the world.

I thought this was a forum where people could ask what they had doubts about, and get some different viewpoints, not sarcasm. Are some people on this link just trying to be voted "the best answer?" This was only my second time asking a question and both times somebody felt the need to try and pump themselves up. I'll look for answers elsewhere in the future.

We are all Americans, yet we call each other horrible things. we call each other's parties idea dumb without seriously thinking about them, and I think none of us want to compromise. Some of us are willing to go as far as saying the liberals are with Saddam and that Saddam is one of us. This is not politics, ladies and gentlemen, this was not what our foudning fathers wanted. In one of his speaches, bush said "They cann't run us out from the Middle east". Isn't this an admission of Bush's imperialistic mentality, especially we all know of his false allegations to send our boys and girls to Iraq, followed by other misleading things like spreading democracy, helping people out, fighting against terrosim, etc.

I beleive people's hatred to us all over the world doesn't come out of vacuum. I wounder!!!
