Yes, I know it's still the best thing going, and I am proud to be American. But there are flaws...what are the biggest ones in your opinion??

Did we win Vietnam? loss? tie?

I read about a book that said America won vietnma militarly but the media reported it differently. And I'm sure all of us know the media always loves the "no hope, doom, gloom" stories and always takes that angle.

Briefly after September 11th 2001; our country was united more than it had been in years! Why is it that we care for each other after a horrible event? Why can't we always be strong and show our enemies what we are made of before they even consider attacking us? I don't mean be "aggressive" as in attacking them! I mean showing our true colors and letting the enemy know that if they attack us, the are in BIG BIG TROUBLE! Of course if anyone attacks us; we must respond! If Mr. Roosevelt (One of the best presidents ever in my opinion) didn't respond during WWII, America would be much different than it is today! Now, I didn't like what it took to unite us! But I can't deny that the feeling of untiy was awesome! I hate it when Americans slander one another. Yeah I know free speech. But I like to think that I respect other peoples opinions without having to call them names! At least I try not to! Sometimes it slips. But I don't want to hate my fellow Americans!

I find it sad that so many Americans are braying for Saddam's blood. Did Saddam ever attack the United States? Did he ever threaten to attack the United States? Did he ever sponsor terrorist attacks against the United States? Did any American have anything to fear from Saddam Hussein?

The answers to all of those questions are: No. So why do people worry about Saddam's non-existent threat to America, and ignore Bush's massive crimes against Iraq?
