First you can not have TWO drivers license, it is not legal.
When you got the last one you had, you are suppose to turn the other in.
And yes if you are driving on a old license ( even if it is still valid, which most likely it would have been canceled when you got the NY one) But yes, once you are stoped, all your records and of course any outstanding tickets will show up.
And you would be charged with driving on a suspended license, since when they suspended it in NY you right to drive was suspended.

The jurisidiction that suspends the license will typically tell the one it came from that it's suspended. You actually are only supposed to have ONE driver's license, so you're in violation of the traffic laws no matter what at this point.
There's a very good chance if you get pulled over your messy driver record will pop up for the trooper to see.
Whatever state you're residing in, that's the only license you should be carrying around any longer.

your suspended D.L. from N.Y. will most likely not show up if stopped in another state assuming that you obtained that state D.L. prior to the N.Y. court action. this will work only for the purpose of traffic stops if you get your current D.L. suspended when you try to fix it your N.Y. one will show up and you will have to fix both before they will lift either I know this from personal experience between Ca. and Al. I was good for two years until I got a ticket and the payment was late both states showed up and even Nevada would not give me a D.L. they have a computer that the check using you social when giving you a D.L. but that doesn't translate to the officer who stops you his is a local system for that state unless you have a all points bulletin put out on you for a serious crime. I understand your need to drive but i would seriously suggest you do what you can to square up with N.Y. also be careful because should you have a accident a good claims guy may check N.Y. and they may try to not pay the claim due to your status there.

You can't legally drive anywhere. Furthermore it is illegal to carry a license in more than one state. So you are potentially looking a two serious hits if you get caught.
When your right to operate is suspended or revoked in any of the 50 states, a US posession, DC or a Canadian Province it is suspended in ALL of them.

Well, I have a french driver licence and an american one, and usually use my french one when travelling outside of my state, and play the stupid french guy if I get stopped by the cops.
As for you, I wouldn't use another american state licence, with the computer now, the files are updated pretty quickly and you will end up in jail.

Once a "check" is run on you all will show up--you are creating more problems for yourself. You should have turned in your NY license when you got your Michigan one.

The short summary of the correct answers in this thread is that you are not driving legally now, you are only (temporarily) getting away with falsifying your drivers license application.

If you have a suspended license in ANY state, you shouldn't be driving, period.

It is illegal to have two driver's licenses, you just broke another law, and if you get caught, you will likely go to jail.
