At one of my jobs, I originally was told my my fellow coach we would get a raise and make near 15 dollars an hour. I then got a contract from the school that said i'd make a salary but it would come out to 6.75 an hour. I never agreed to the contract or turned it in and have been getting paychecks for 16 an hour. Am I in the wrong for putting in the hours and keep getting paid 16?

Employers don't want to pay citizens fair wages because there is a large supply of cheap foreign labor. If that supply dried up how would that effect the economy. Why not just hire citizens? There would be more competitive wages and the cities would be less overcrowded. Also, wouldn't companies still try to hire illegal employees, so they could drive wages back down?

At the last count their populations were:
Scotland approx 5 million
Wales approx 3 million

or, would the English taxpayer (approx 50 million) have to subsidise them.

Now, fight over that.

The full quote is this: "A single death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic."

The way I see it is that Saddam's death (though it would be a good thing to a lot of people) is causing a lot of attention. Even if he isn't going to be executed by hanging, his death still is grabbing everyones attention.

But in Iraq, there are still a lot who are dying from bombs made by terrorist or other reasons. But we hear on the news "30-40-50-100 Iraqis died today as a result of..." and so on and so forth.

Do you agree? I'm sure there are a lot of liable explanations for why this is the way it is, but I'm just wondering what everyone thinks when they hear about the deaths (both American and Iraqi) on the news as opposed to Saddams death.
