Are there actually any objective "documentaries" on Iraq?

I served there. I'd say...not many. Most of them, one way or the other, have somebody's personal politics riding shotgun with it.

'Off to War' was a fairly straightforward documentary though, taking into consideration it's about a National Guard unit and not an active duty unit. It does allow soldiers to voice their opinion, some supporting the war, some against it, and some unsure. It also treats soldiers like human beings without really demonifying or praising. I rarely support anything associated with the NY Times, but I do encourage people to watch it.

There were lots of good reasons to topple Saddam. What is it that people don't understand about that?

Bush wanted to invade Iraq, and congress agreed. What is it that people don't understand about that?

The US government made an official proclamation around 1998 saying Saddam should be toppled. Bush wasn't president then.

The documentary is just that, a documentary! It is probably as close to "Fact" as anyone knows, however, we aren't here to sell political documentaries by either side!
